I couldnt see the DVD version option either which I thought was strange. Extended Download Service was there.

Originally microsoft never emailed me. However the enquiry I submitted last tuesday got a reply this morning and I have managed to finally successfully install it.

I haven't received at reply yet(only emailed them on Sunday though) but i'm worried as if I can't fix it the refund time may run out! What was the problem with installing yours?

Mine was just that they hadn't sent the product key no problems other than that.

I wonder if it's a recent problem with large takeup on the offer. I got mine a couple of weeks ago and serial key was sent within a few minutes of ordering. Been using it no problems since then. Didn't bother with the extended download and cd option etc. Just burned my own copy to DVD. If the installation doesn't work for any of you that's likely to be down to a corrupted download. Always use a download manager (I use Flashget), I wouldn't leave it to Internet Explorer's own downloading system.

I dont see why not as long as you comply with

    1. Individual must possess a valid e-mail address at an educational institution which contains the domain suffix ‘ac.uk’ AND
    2. Individual must be a student enrolled at a qualified educational institution in the United Kingdom.

The offer is for university students with an ac.uk email address studying at least half time (i.e. 60 units if at OU) according to the website.

For anyone having probs with unlock code, this was on the email I eventually got with my unlock code:

For future reference, serial numbers can be found on the "Thank you for
your purchase screen" right after placing your order. The serial
number(s) are included in the order confirmation e-mail that is sent to
your e-mail address immediately following your purchase. They can also
be found by finding your order through our customer service page http://store.digitalriver.com/store/msshuk/DisplayHelpPage/

The problem for me is that they didn't send me an email, they couldn't find my order although they had debited my Visa. I sent as much information as I could to Digital River, the firm who handle this download for Microsoft. There is a very helpful man there called Hugo :A who sorted it all out for me. here's his email address, which is not on the MS site, I got it via the original 'Ultimate Steal' site. studenthero.uk@digitalriver.com Good luck all. It's worth the £38 for One Note alone, wait till you see how easy it is to take a cutting from any screen display...:T

Further to my previous email, since I last looked at the Ultimate Steal terms and conditions they have added " If you are a Further Education student, you must have at least 15 hours of scheduled contact time for your course" so presumably anyone at an FE college can get the program, for example if they are doing the ECDL? I don't know if sixth form counts as further education, nor do I know if a local college would give its students an ac.uk email address.

When I loged in today it gave me the option of a Back-up DVD - £8.95 and Extended Download Service - £4.95

Is there any point having both or does having the Backup DVD mean you can load it onto other computer I have ?
