Yes true say. But is openoffice compatible with Microsoft Word 2003/2007 100% E.g Word Art etc etc?

EDIT: ALSO for that price you cant go wrong

Yes, OpenOffice is compatible with things from ALL versions of Word, except for old Word for Macintosh (MCW) files. It can also save your documents as PDF files, which Word can't do. All the Other OpenOffice Programs are also compatible with their Microsoft equivalents:

    OpenOffice Calc = Microsoft Access
    OO Draw = CorelDraw
OO Math = MS Equation Editor
    OO Calc = MS Excel
    OO Impress = MS Powerpoint
    OO Writer = MS Word

That's a fab offer! Thanks OP.

One thing I can't work out though:

Can I use it on my desktop and laptop - Microsoft software usually allows use on 3 computers I think - is this the same?

Not much use to me otherwise, as I use both computers.

    Just found it!

In case anyone else is interested, you can download it onto two computers (one main, one portable) if they are for the sole use of the purchaser.

You can install it on as many computers as you want. But you need to uninstall it on the 1st computer

So you can use it on 1 time together

    So e.g

    Install on computer

    THEN

    Uninstall on computer
    THEN
    install on laptop
  • You don't need to uninstall on your 1st computer to install onto a laptop.

Yes you do because if Microsoft find out your using on two or more computers/laptops at the same time with the same CD Key they will invalidate the whole thing :)
