Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Just to warn you that I am having problems with the MS Office offer. I downloaded the prog. OK, you have just 25 free boot ups, including when the machine has to be restarted because MS says so during downloads. It has wiped Office 2003 off my machine (not compatible) so I would have to uninstall 2007 and reinstall 2003 if I decided I didn't like the new, fancy version. Now I find that, despite having taken my money, they haven't issued me with an unlock key, either by email or on the relevant web page. I am in limbo land until they respond and wary of using any more of my 'free' boot ups. I emailed last night, so far no response. Lucky I wasn't coming up for an ECA isn't it? It's a fantastic offer, One Note alone is worth having as a student. Just hope they respond to my email and give the the wherewithal to actually use the programs. :o

It gave me the option of whether or not to remove Office 2003 when I downloaded the trial. I allowed it as I have the disc anyway and also, I was pretty sure I would actually buy Office 2007 - but it was a choice.

Also once I had paid for it, the product key arrived via my uni email within about 5 minutes.

However, I can see you point as I had used all my 25 load ups and so couldn't do any work (it was torture for me!! wink.gif) until my oh came home with the card to pay for it! You get limited access but that is basically that you can view your files but you can't do anything else with them.
  • I just bought it and I'm downloading now. I did want the disc but I couldn't find the option so I just got the extended downloads incase I get a new computer and want to put in on.
  • Does anyone know how long it takes for the download link to be available? I bought the 1-year subscription for £12-whatever about 2 hours ago and I got an order confirmation to my .ac.uk address, but whenever I go to the order status page it just says "Processing serial number or unlock code".

    Great deal though, really good!

I went for the full version straight off, they haven't emailed it to me either. I contacted them through the website on Tuesday, still no reply. I called up the Microsoft Support line thinge (pretty expensive on my mobile) and the lady just directed me through everything I had already done, even the part on the website where it directs you to get your product key - it just offers me to download it but I've already downloaded it! She wasn't much help and just gave me another address to email and she assured me that I should get a response within about 24 hours. Hopefully I'll get some sort of response by Tuesday but we'll see, I have some uni work that I need to be getting on with and Office would be most useful right now.

What email did they give you? I've downloaded and got an email with the codes, etc but it won't install! The icon is on my desktop but it says 'the installation of this package has failed' and makes my computer run incredibly slow(it's never done this before & there's lots of memory free as i just moved loads to an external hard drive). Hopefully i'll hear from them soon and they'll help me sort it out!

I also couldn't see an option for a copy on CD so have requested on in a help form incase it's something in my download that's gone wrong.

Will be a great offer once it's up an running! :)

I couldnt see the DVD version option either which I thought was strange. Extended Download Service was there.

Originally microsoft never emailed me. However the enquiry I submitted last tuesday got a reply this morning and I have managed to finally successfully install it.
