Morning Campers,
Looks like another scorcher here. Washing dried in about 40 mins yesterday. Friends coming over for a meal later so need to get ready for them, tho no need to cook as mr f made lasagne last night.......he also made a smaller one for the freezer so I was well impressed! Onto today's efforts:
*Make pickled courgettes to use up some of the glut. Must get them brining asap.
*Water veggie garden & check what needs picking. Did courgettes, tomatoes & squash yesterday but will pull a bunch of spring onions for tonight's salad.
*Quick clean round befor guests....usual minimal products & washable cloths.
*Two baths from 1 lot of hot water.
*Make courtyard look pretty for guests.....my bunting & outside tablecloth were made from a charity shop duvet cover but look really fresh & summery.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch. Today's was a soup-mug of leftover stew. Really can't bear food waste.
*Maybe a bit of knitting if time.
Have a good day & remember to...

Morning all :coffee::coffee::coffee:
Feeling rough this morning. I was rudely awoken by a ginger ninja cat at half five, so did my usual of coming down and sleeping on the sofa. I was then awoken at 8am by ds who told me dd was trying to get in touch (she was at a sleepover). Wanted me to pick her up immediately - so I think that it's safe to presume that she didn't enjoy it much. Unfortunately it also means that the 3 of us are exhausted for today. Naps all round I suspect.
Today's plans:
:cheesy: check banking and PAD
:cheesy: load of washing and hoover
:cheesy: try and remain calm at all times
:cheesy: nap if we need it
:cheesy: exercise
:cheesy: crochet/knit
:cheesy: lots of rubbish telly
:cheesy: aim for nsd
Think that's it for now - have a good day. :hello:Not giving up

We have been discussing to getting a rechargeable vacuum to use primarily to use in keeping the cars cleaner & tidier but can additionally be used around the house (motivated by OH's new car) we decided on a model at the weekend, we have gone for a reasonably expensive model but we felt it meet our needs best. It was very pleasing to purchase this with vouchers earned through surveys and cash back :money:
This morning I ordered our tickets to the pantomime for boxing day, we are going with my parents trying to, introduce a few new traditions now my Grandmother won't be with us, realised I could save £6 ringing up to book the tickets instead of booking online, which seems daft to me. I went online choose the seats we wanted rang the box office and said the seat numbers, very easy and as we aren't charged extra for calling landlines no additional charges.

To be fair Bob its a two way street, she will help with the boys if I need it. Like the other week when we were doing work on the house she was taking them to their swimming lessons and took them out for the day so that we could get on. She'll have them overnight next week when dh & I go to the theatre. My niece is nearly 13 so doesn't take much looking after and has sat & watched Batman V Superman with us this afternoon that dh had borrowed from someone at work.
Sounds a lovely afternoon. Its been such a scorcher!" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Hi all.
Been awol for a few weeks. I an struggling to find my Mse rhythm but am actually not massively over spending.
I am on a strict diet and it is costing me about 20 a week more in food. I am not really bothered but am aware of it. Feeding between 3 and 8 in 60 a week.
I really need to use freezer food and focus.
Looking forward to the weekend and September0 -
Evening all
Not much accomplished today as I have been looking after littlest GD all day. We didn't go out to the park, feeding ducks etc as we usually do, due to the stage of potty training she is at, and the sheer size of the potty  It is like an enormous great throne :rotfl: She is very good, but when she says she needs to go, she needs to go NOW, so it is difficult to venture out without potty - and there is no way I was walking to town carrying THAT, particularly since I don't own a bag large enough to put it in! So I cleared the patio, spread out some blankets, filled the paddling pool and the sand tray and made a 'seaside' in the back gardenAt least I didn't spend anything, I even had an ice lolly ready for her in the freezer
Apart from that:
Walked dog twice
Watered French beans (can't face picking them, especially as it has started to rain, will have to do that in the morning)
Also watered some flowers in pots that habitually live on a garden table on the patio - I noticed they looked dry when I put them back after GD had gone home. I used the water from the paddling pool for all this, so no waste
YS 'fresh' fish fingers from freezer for lunch for GD and I, and I have finished them off for dinner with salad
Fruit from the garden for GD, a couple of handfuls of raspberries and one of blueberries
A few surveys for onepoll, and got screened out from ipsos I-say, as usual, with 5 points as a consolation prize. Once I have eventually got enough points for a voucher, I am not going to bother with them any more.
No ebay sales yesterday so no trip to the post office needed (thank goodness, given size of Potty  Imagine having to take that in there:rotfl:). No sales yet today either, but as there is a Bank Holiday coming up I am not surprised! Had a low offer on something, but declined it. Why do people think sellers will accept half the asking price for something listed only the previous day?
And that is about it! Must do better tomorrowHmm DD has borrowed my car as she needs to make a longish trip, and hers is playing up.... hope it still has some petrol in it when it comes back
