DNMS - I read the post that you put onto the thread from the pensioner with depression. I thought it was brilliant. I've kept my mouth firmly shut about it because I'm with the others that think he's making excuses, but I thought the advice you gave him was great.
Thanks cat(glowing cos I need the validation!) But to be fair it is my profession mixed with my passion/obsession! :rotfl:

So you will see from the results so far that we have these outcomes.

However, I am inclined to think that someone is having a laugh over this.
Deeper analysis of this shows that within a one hour period yesterday we received 17 votes for "At some other interval" one after another. I find this statistically unlikely.
We also had about 17 votes from "members" in the WC2A area of London, from one specific I.P. address. I don't believe for one minute that we have 17 members in London's Lincoln's Inn Fields. Unless they were having a secret convention and all voted from the same computer one after another.
I have therefore disallowed those 17 votes. Results are as follows:

Hi August Awesome-ees,
I've spent most of the day on the sofa out of the rain.
Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Two:
* Still waiting to hear the verdict on the broken tv we dropped of at the IT repair shop.
* Fabulous evening at the theatre watching the Agatha Christie last night. We did go to our favourite Spanish restaurant in the end. The prices are a bit high but the food was great. We spent a week's entertainment budget in one night but it was worth it.
* Visited GoMA, free art museum before we went to the theatre.
* DW looked in every shop in Glasgow for new trainers but couldn't find what she was looking for. She'll find them online no doubt.
* Cleaned the house with Stardrops and washable cloths.
Live long, live well and prosper.

-Had lovely chicken and stuffing butties for work the last couple of days leftovers from the Sunday roast
-Trying to use up every scrap of food in the fridge and freezer so there is nothing left for my week off work
-Check postcode lottery
-Send a bra back to M&S which is a dodgy green colour; kept one of them because its needed and it was half price.
- Re-posting facebook sales but not eBay as don't want to sell whilst I'm away and damage my feedback
- Parcel up 3 eBay sales
- Annoyed with the holiday car hire company, they have changed our booking to paying for the fuel at an extortionate rate from full to full. Complaint gone in.
- Waiting to hear back from an eBay refund
- Searching the house for sun cream and an inflatable ring so we don't have to buy more on holiday.
- Down load Thomas Cook holiday packing list
- Picked up Euros - I researched the best rate and didn't wait to be ripped off at the airport
- Got a money off voucher from Groupon for parking at the airport; better than the cash back rates
- Didn't buy a takeaway coffee today - stayed strong and kept the money firmly in my purse!
- Must put in my expenses claim into work tomorrow
- Research the cheapest place to get clothes washing liquid from three retailers near my work, so I can go and get in my lunch breakCompetition wins £14,136.30[\COLOR]0 -
Happy hump day
wow it's only Wednesday and I've had a day off and I feel shattered. As much I love the smalls been at home, think they're ready for a routine again (next Tuesday)
Today:
Lunch and snacks to work. Thin pickings, but I have a cuppa soup for lunch don't want to buy anything as haven't at all this year and don't want to start now.
check banking, surveys and FPL (payment to deny gone out meaning we have paid 50% off this year alone)
New recipe for tea - paprika pork - meat out of freezer
Check nothing needs using up - will have greens and a bit of broccoli with it and stir in a small amount of spinach to the sauce
Make a small payment to new account tonight so when I get log in details later in week hopefully it will be there. Can then move big amount over so it can start earning interestneed to check if month runs from start date or 1 st
Think that's it for now. PF.0 -
Hi guys
I'm enforcing my zero tolerance lunch policy - made pasta to use up ham and leftover sauce rather than buying a sandwich (1st thought when I realised we had run out of bread!)
Looking into home insurance later - renewal quote is ridiculous as per...
Not much else...Doing a jigsaw I found in the loft - good fun really and keeping me off t'internet all evening.
Just 2 more days of work and then off on holiday/staycation. :T
YNAB is looking healthy - still have £1800 and get paid next Wednesday, £1400 is allocated for 'exciting future plans' and 'sensible savings', have paid £1251 to debts this month - not including £577 to student loan(!!) and 'Age of Money is 23 days! (Oh, if only every month could be bonus month!)
Happy Wednesday everyone!
