Welcome to the NEW modern world of politics.
British Politiciens have witnessed what worked during the Brexit referendum.
The one mandate that Politiciens have been given is.... lying works and there is no come back, wait, the BIGGER the lie the BETTER the result with NO COMEBACK.
Wait and see what lies will be told during the next election!!!
politicians lie as a matter of course
only bigotted europhile acolytes believe that all white christian europeans politicians are as pure as driven snow and that only the hated UK politiicans have any faults.
every day the xenophobic Luxenbourg poltiticans insist that all their inhabitants have to regsister with the authorities if they move house: just like Nazi Germany and the equally awful USSR
Thank goodness for the free British.
what a hypocrite0 -

Can I just remind you that the USSR was a lot better than what came after.
Compare 1990 with 1994, which was 3 full years post-independence. Also note that in relative terms, Georgia is worse off now than in 1990, despite huge economy growth in the last 12-ish years.
Unemployment is officially 15ish%. Unofficially in the cities it's around 30% and in rural areas averages of up to 80% exist.
I said before the referendum be careful what you wish for, and I'll say it again.
If you voted leave because you genuinely thought it would leave the country better off and can justify that, fair play to you. If you voted leave as a protest vote or purely because of immigration, then definitely not fair play to you.💙💛 💔0 -

sorry old chap but anyone that 'forgets' that the USSR had the KGB, mass concentration camps, executions, show trials, starvation brought on by mad economics theories etc probably isn't some-one I can learn a lot from.
but maybe it was better than putins russia, I don't know enough to say0 -

Different culture. I wouldn't even consider comparing the two. Have very good (east) german friends that now live in Hamburg. Interesting to hear what life was like behind the wall.0 -
I am not pleased by the UK government at all at the moment. I don't think EU is worse, in fact EU is the only thing stopping them from completely running the country to the ground.
I still cannot understand how they were allowed to serve so many lies, (350million per week to the NHS?! even had the audacity to plaster it on buses!) and then after winning take it all away and say "Actually you get zero and you should learn some austerity lessons". Would they have won if they hadn't lied? Is misleading so many voters with lies even legal? Why can't they be held accountable for the damage they are now causing? We should be able to take them down by suing them for deceit and the loss of 20% of our living comfort as a result of the falling pound and inflation.
The only hope to stop them now is perhaps Scotland breaking the union apart and showing this rotten government that their lies are causing permanent and irreversible damage.
The government did not claim that Brexit would lead to "350million per week to the NHS"; the Leave campaign did. Have you already forgotten that the government (or at least Cameron and Osborne) wanted us to remain in the EU.
We are now (apparently) committed because that's what people voted for. And not because of what the government wanted.0 -
Frankly the boomers have completely stitched everyone else up. Again.
Actually you kind of have to hand it to them. After enjoying decades of rising economic prosperity for themselves, house price increases for themselves, and the enormous benefits of being part of the European Union - for themselves , just as they were about to hand the reins of power over to Gen X and Y, they take a wrecking ball to the entire thing, extend a giant middle finger and retire to their unlimited NHS care and final salary and inflation linked state pensions; for themselves.0 -
Tonight the main architect of the Euro says it will collapse (Independent).
The new prosperoty era is upon us, and at last we are to rebalance the economy instead of robbing from future generations0 -

Its not the end of the world most likely the UK is going to have to tighten its belt a bit further one of the measures of which probably should be the removal of the triple lock. Pensions should go up with inflation no more.
The state pension age should rapidly (before 2020) increase to 67 and then 68 by 2025. If the old don't want the migrants to dilute the working to retired ratio then they are going to have to work longer themselves.0 -
