If a free trade agreement isn't reached with the EU then it's a certainty that the UK will be engaging in less free trade for a period of time.
If we agree free trade is a good thing how long will it take to increase free trade with others to undo the damage?
I fully recognise that if the EU elite choose to deliberate do damage to their own people then we will also suffer.
The EU does have a long history of doing such damage to their own people and to other (mainly poorer) countries, but then so do many nut case lunatics on the world stage.
You have been grovellingly grateful for this 30-40 years of un-necessary damage but we now have a opportunity to plough a better furrow.
I hope that the EU will be pragmatic and sensible but they do have a history of having 'strong' leaders who ignore the people.0 -

How long before the damage of reduced free trade is undone by ploughing this better furrow?0 -

Obviously it depends upon how self destructive the EU wants to be and how much damage it wishes to do to the people of the EU.
Is you only response to any perceived threat to surrender immediately without consideration for the future?
But if you want me to guess, I reckon on the EU not being suicidal, so lets say about 1 week and then we see gains.0 -

I'm hopeful, as you obviously are, that free trade will continue but less optimistic that additional free trade will be noted with 7 days of leaving even if the EU part is maintained. Oh hang on - you're being sarcastic to avoid the question.
I also note your belief that only white christian Europeans could possibly negotiate in bad faith and hold white Anglo-Saxons christians in much higher regard.0 -

quote me back where I said anything about 'bad faith'0 -

Oh don't play the 'quote where I said that' game. You say t's possible for negotiators to negotiate in ways which aren't in the best interests of their citizens - I'd call this bad faith - call it something else if you like - I don't mind.
You only mention the possibility that white Christian Europeans could do this (whatever we call it) and never white Anglo-Saxons. Why's that?
Obviously we digress. We agree that free trade is a good thing. Therefore, trading with the EU on WTO rules would reduce free trade and be a bad thing until such a time as the damage could be repaired by increasing free trade elsewhere.
You have no desire to discuss how long this may take.0
