Looks like May is setting the ground out for a snap General Election. I guess she will look to force one, through a defeat in Parliament over the EU bill. She must be licking her lips at the weakness of labour and she will not want leave number 10 having never been franked by the British electorate, which would be likely to happen when Brexit goes 'tits up':(0

You mean she's pushing Brexit through knowing it'll be a disaster that won't make it through parliament, in order to gain a better foothold and make it look like she at least tried?
Sounds pretty plausible actually.0 -
£'s hitting a new low today as a result of Sundays conference.
I feel sanguine about it. Most of my spending seems to go on UK services and UK mark-ups.0 -

I would like a Remoaner to explain to me why the think it is OK to have our laws made by people who we didn't elect, are accountable to no one and who we can't get rid of.0 -

Tell us in what way you think Brexit will be a disaster. Personally I can see only a positive outcome.0 -

Which ones are they?
We elect an European Parliament, and are involved in the decision making process (when our representatives turn up).Tell us in what way you think Brexit will be a disaster. Personally I can see only a positive outcome.
Economically; We'll lose our migrants & highly skilled workers, a lot of international business, and prices across the board will go up.
Socially; we'll split ourselves off from Europe, potentially lose Scotland and NI.
I genuinely can't see how severing ties with our biggest trading partner will help up.What makes you think we'll be better off?0 -

The EU parliament has no real powers. It's little more than a talking shop which rubber stamps decisions handed down from the EU Commissioners.
We won't be severing ties with the EU. We will simply have a different relationship with them. Neither will we lose migrants, highly skilled people or a lot of international business. Why on earth would you think this?0
