Are we actually connected? I don't think so.

They are connected to us, different.

Amber Rudd: 'Some of the students who come to study in England don't even speak good English'....doh - isn't that what language schools are for?!

I reckon as well as stopping students who come here for a limited period we should also stop tourists - every summer they clutter up Central London, stand on the left on the escalators and generally speak in foreign languages.

Better if we stop producing pamphlets in three dozen different languages and dialects AND provide interpreter services for free.
As an English-speaking country all necessary informative literature should be in English. (Plus Welsh in Wales etc.)
    From signs to pamphlets.
    You need translation?
You arrange it and you pay for it.

Try visiting other countries and see if (for example) THEIR doctor's surgeries have a variety of languages on display to help visitors.
    (Excusing popular holiday destinations.)

I would like a Remoaner to explain to me why the think it is OK to have our laws made by people who we didn't elect, are accountable to no one and who we can't get rid of.
Could someone on the Brexit side explain to me why we want our sovereign parliament back but don't trust them with setting the terms for Brexit? 😕

    what's the problem?
if a majority of the sovereign parliament vote to ignore the referendum result then it will be so.

The EU parliament has no real powers. It's little more than a talking shop which rubber stamps decisions handed down from the EU Commissioners.
Assuming that's correct, that's different from our own sovereign government, how?

    Neither will we lose migrants
Isn't that exactly the point of this whole fiasco?
    highly skilled people
Like the scientists that are losing funding in the UK and likely moving to Europe for work? Or the bankers that may or may not leave? All the engieers for companies that mostly trade to Europe? Or anyone who just doesn't like the way we mess up?
    a lot of international business.

That depends on exactly what happens. If it becomes more hassle to trade with the UK, EU companies will stop.
We may actually see an increase in some industries, where the collapse of the GBP makes us seem incredibly cheap when priced in USD/EUR.

The referendum result was about leaving the EU nothing more, nothing less. The majority of our SOVEREIGN parliament want a SOFT brexit, in fact the majority of the electorate do as well.
A majority of people would rather the UK have a soft Brexit, which sees the country give concessions on EU immigration in return for access to the single market, a poll has found.

I would like a Brexiter to explain in what way they have been oppressed by the EU and also give an actual example of even one incidence where their actual source of employment (ie something they actually know about, not a bunch of laymen stuttering nonsense about export policies to places they couldn't find on a map) has been compromised due to the single market.

I'm not in the fishing industry, but it's pretty clear that's been devastated by the EU. There is no reason at other than Heath accepting the plundering of British waters as an entry price into the EEC, it didn't need to be given away, there's no logical reason it couldnt have been retained.

Other than the economy, you might also want to consider the simple loss of sovereignty. That was a massive reason for the vote ( don't believe me that's according to Cameron's communications manager and what he attributed the loss to. )

His comment ( in his book and on the radio today) was that the remain campaign focussed only on the economy ( mainly through FUD) and when that argument failed they had nothing.

Which is what you are doing now, focusing on the economy. To steal from Clinton, "it ain't the economy, Stupid"

Ps I voted Remain, very reluctantly but I am happy to grasp the opportunity fur the UK to be a sovereign country again. To have control of our borders. To never again hear the excuse from politicians "nothing we can do about it, it's a EU law"
