That's obviously not what Morglin meant! :rotfl: And everyone knows it.

The only way I've ever heard that phrase used refers to sleeping-dreams so I also presumed that's what Morglin meant.

Both retired one from MOD obviously a nice pension to boot .............unlike us in the private sector

Christ you're quite vile reading your posts, aren't you.

Public sector pensions cost a lot per month.

You want a good pension? You work for one.You want a good holiday? You go out and earn for it.

Easy to criticise but most "with money" work hard and cut corners to afford things. Being bitter isn't cool.

I have never heard of anyone saying they are bored with hearing about what someone dreamt about last night.

    Not buying it.

She meant peoples dreams (what they want to do and aspire to be) are boring to her. It's pretty obvious what she meant in my opinion.
    You didn't, did you? :rotfl::rotfl:

Maybe Morglin can come on and confirm what she meant?

I read it as she gets bored by hearing about peoples dreams, (meaning what they were aspiring to be, NOT what they dreamt about in bed last night!) and I'm not the only one who thought this...

I certainly didn't think she was on about peoples dreams that they had when they were asleep!

Until Morglin confirms it, there is no point in continuing to discuss it.

I never called anyone a complete and utter idiot by the way. Why do people insist on making things up to suit their agenda?

Yes i did work for a nice pension it was called a final salary one but i had the carpet pulled from under my feet 10 years ago and the one i was transfered into has just lost money this last year wiping out 50% of last years contributions................unlike the public sector gold plated ones that are around that some people are actually better off when they retire from the public sector than they were when they were working in it, this has been proven within the NHS. And yes Public sector pensions do cost alot but remember who is paying to up keep them shame nobody else is paying into ours..............................im off to pack my raincoat and umbrella lol

Really? Yet you've heard people say they're bored by other people's aspirations?

It's a quite famous saying, the dreams part, not heard the holiday bit, she didn't invent it!

Edit: I just googled the saying 'theres nothing more boring than other people's dreams' as you've made me doubt the meaning with your certainty. However, every single reference is to sleep dreams.

    Put your hands up.

To be honest if she was any sort of friend she wouldnt browbeat you with how fantastic her holiday was.

Its quite polite to ask someone how their holiday went but its another thing to have to hear about the highlights for days afterwards.
