I think you have to be sensitive to your "audience" we travel a lot, but when talking friends whose circumstances are vastly different we don't give them chapter and verse on where we have been and what we have seen and done. Equally, when with those who do travel similarly to us, we don't tend to go on about it because they will have probably been there too and because, essentially, other peoples holidays do not make for riveting conversation!
Change the subject deftly, or pick a subject that will bore her and drone on about it.....:rotfl:Save0 -
I think the OP is literally winding you all up, and watching you go....and all the sheep will fall for it, insulting the OP, and each other...whilst the OP is sniggering - you lot are all wasting your Friday night sniping at strangersThe opposite of what you know...is also true0

Just for fun:
Next time you see them talk endlessly about your holiday in Wales. Take hundreds of pictures and make them look at all of them.
Make sure there's a 'story' to go with every photograph. The more boring the better.
Every time they say something about their holiday, make a comparison with Wales. They mention the beautiful beaches, you say 'ooh that reminds me of Barmouth, did I show you the pictures?'
They talk about the wedding in Cuba, you launch into a story of a beautiful wedding you saw in a little chapel in Powys.
Have a game with your partner to see which one of you most amusingly brings the conversation back to Wales.

If you've got something interesting to say about your holiday, they may be happy to hear it. I've travelled all over but not so much in the UK (I've never been to Scotland), I love hearing about trips closer to home.0

We all get envious of other people. Jealousy is seen as an ugly trait but sometime you just can't help it.
I have been lucky enough to visit many, many places all over the world, before I got into debt I was very careful with my money and used it to fund trips all over the place. I know how fortunate I was and I am so glad I had those opportunities (well worth the constant overtime, saying no to nights out, extra jumpers instead of heating, coupons for everything etc etc).
But I am insanely jealous of people who have a family to go home to.£15900 loan (including interest) over 3.5 years to pay off...can I do it sooner???

The two biggest bores in life are other people's dreams and other people's holidays.
Just tell them that.
LinYou can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0
