If you pull out of the sale you could try and claim your losses back:

However I wouldn't rate your chances.
If you feel that strongly then take proper legal advice but I think that will just leave you a little poorer and still waiting for your house.0 -
Safer!?
ever single coutnry inthe middle east resides lower than the UK on the global peace index with the exception of Qatar (a large part of that is our desire to be involved in external conflicts). O and Qatar seems like a lovely place to be with all the slaves you get.
educate yourself and have a trip to Dubai and walk in the streets at night and compare it to London. I dont blame you. I blame your education and the fact that may of you are so ignorant an arrogant that cannot see that there are positive points in other countries.
UAE is much a safer country than many european countries (how dare do you think european countries are safe given the recent terrors)? And as far as I know, there is no slave in Qatar but there are many in this country who has to work hard and pay 45% forcefully to the beloved looting state.0 -
before saying nonsense suggest you to educate yourself more as driving and working in many middle eastern countries are completely free and like many other people you have a very wrong understanding of other countries and still think we are living in 19th century. so say something useful and please dont waste time.
There are countries in the middle east who throw people off buildings for being gay. That is all.0 -
T. But on a logical level, telling lie to get an offer is a fraud and I can see it can be sued in many other areas such as banking, finance, etc. They wasted our time, energy and money. We asked them in writing that it should be chain free and I found out about it in the last stages. If it cannot be sued, I really made many wrong assumption for this country.
I am been in a similar situation where the vendor lied (or omitted to give information) and unfortunately in reality there is nothing you can do. You could pull out, or see if your vendor will cover any unexpected expenses, ie short term rental accomodation.
I pulled out a purchase as the vendor has lied about a building development, what was green fields when I viewed, 3 days before we were due to exchange has turned into a massive housing development with building going on 5 meters away from the boundary! My solicitor agreed the vendor should have disclosed, but I lost my surveyor and solicitor fees.
You could ask for any out of pocket expenses or for a reduction if you still want the property?0 -

On what basis? There is no contract? Simply an expression of interest in buying and selling by the two parties. Either side can walk away for any reason (or no reason) during the due diligence process before contracts are exchanges. It happens all the time.
Part of the peculiar system of conveyancing in England & Wales, and a source of frustration to Brits and Foreigners alike!0 -

Actually I would feel a lot safer walking in London with my cutest LBD than anywhere in the UAE.educate yourself and have a trip to Dubai and walk in the streets at night and compare it to London. As far as the recent terrorism, a majority of it isn't coming extremist Christians.
You and I were not born here and it's a not a right to live here but a privilege. Just because you have free speech here and are allowed to trash the UK and it's citizens, always remember you are a guest in someone else's home, try to act like it.0 -
