Congratulations on being a doormat! (and this isn't meant harshly). Start how you mean to go on and just tell them assertively that now your lives have changed you are instituting a different routine and the two of you have decided you need to have different priorities and make some family and rest time for yourselves.
At the time the inlaws are due to arrive, move your car if you have one from its normal position, close the front curtains and simply just don't answer the door.
And tell your husband to stand standing up to his parents before this issue starts impacting on your marriage.0 -
And tell your husband to stand standing up to his parents before this issue starts impacting on your marriage.
Have you actually read all the thread or have you instead picked out a few bits and think you've got the gist of it?
If it was as simple as "tell your husband", there would have been a couple of pages and no more - problem sorted.
The issue IS impacting on the marriage.
What's your solution to compel the husband to stand up for his wife and daughters?
Personally, I'd be happy to see the OP holding a gun to his nether regions from behind as he tells his parents they're not coming in but I'm given to understand that's illegal in the UK at present more's the pity sometimes!0 -
Maybe you should read the thread too Paddy's mum. They're not married, and that is a cause of friction too. If you hadn't diverted the thread, maybe you would have known that.0

Possibly the situation is stopping there ever being a marriage.0
