(((Hugs))) for everyone who has a relative who's going through it at the moment, for those that are going through it, and for those that have lost someone they loved. The only person who ever said anything absolutely 100% wrong to me was the person who said, 'It's probably a blessing in disguise' when my disabled neice died, but even that didn't make it worse. I think the fear most people have is that they're going to make a difficult situation worse, but in reality I don't think that's possible - what the wrong person said shocked me and made me angry, not sadder.

Some people have said they don't know what to say - just acknowledging that is a plus, i find. I would be interested to know if others feel the same too.
*Raises hand* I never know what to say to people in "ordinary conversation" iyswim, let alone someone going through such a harrowing ordeal. Please know this, though - all the Wolfy strength I can muster is heading to you and your sis. x

  • I never know what to say. What can you say in such circumstances? I usually find a hug helps (real or virtual) if words can't be found.

    So hugs to Valli xxx

    She's moving....

Will get to go visit later

We did set off - so,e idiot had a van with a ladder which lost it in the road Lane two. We avoided it, the we had to turn round and come bak. By this time they had closed the M1 to retrieve it. A lucky escape because we neither hit the ladder nor got stuck in the closure.

I was on standby to travel in the ambulance. I am slightly disappointed:(

Her hubby is in the ambulance, he plans to get a taxi back to Northampton:eek:

In my experience saying something is better than saying nothing.

A good friend of 20+ years has disappeared from my life since I started this journey. She doesn't do the nasty stuff in life. Sadly I don't have this choice. Her daughter was on of DD2's bridesmaids. She actually apologised for her mum's behaviour.

Today has been mainly given over to sleep. And Olympics, obviously.

Glad to hear of bad vacancy. Love and hugs to Valli

    I've flown a bit.

Tidied the bike store while dinner was cooking, one bike removed (going next door) and homeless chairs in its place. Put toys back where they belong and swept it out before replacing everything. Closed up the other stores as we are forecast some wet weather over the next couple of days.

Kitchen is a bit messy after dinner but bin emptied and DW going.

Also cleaned upstairs bathrooms while kiddies had their baths. All this swimming has done DD hair no favours at all, so I have been brave and given her a trim! Now this is not a particular skill of mine - but we managed ok, I even layered it a little, remembering the technique my hairdresser uses. It looks fine, thank gawd. I've been checking it's even ever since, haha. Hopefully it will be a bit easier to manage :T

I've sorted torches and a few camping bits. Just watching a bit of tv then will do kitchen.
