Ouch! Mrs MP! Sounds nasty, hope you do as the doctor said xx
Last swim completed and two certificates home. This afternoon is about packing, toy tidying, laundry and cleaning the downstairs loo. Kiddies are watching a film and having some down time but will be roped into helping later.
Weather quite grizzly here so indoors for the foreseeableBossymoo

As usual I'm late catching up on events.
So.... I hope this morning went well for Valli's sister.
MrsMP - ouchy!! Take more water with it, perhaps? No, seriously though, I hope you're ok, and that the Universe lets you off a third injury.
CY *waves from one sofa to the other*I'm cream crackered from a double dose of gardening yesterday - Mr LW looked at the weather forecast, and decreed we'd crack on and do the stuff we'd originally scheduled for today; so I'm doing sitting-down jobs today.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Healing vibes, Mrs MP.
I hope your sister's day is going as well as it can, Valli. *Comfortable* vibes for her, and *safe journey* vibes for you.
I think people who say nothing and stay away must feel a great deal of shame for being unable to be a friend.Love and hugs to all xxxxx
I am a bad fly lady today, work is very busy, as I result tonight I cannot be bothered to do any thing, except watch the Olympics.......
I did clean the kitchen this mornnig before work, if that counts
How can you be a bad Flylady if you cleaned the kitchen this morning and did a full busy day's work?Welcome Mila
I have spent much of the day at the hospital with a swollen leg. The good news is that I do not have a DVT. The bad news is that I need to spend more time with my foot higher than my heart  Yes, well, I will when I can - it's not exactly easy to sit at my desk with my foot propped up on the monitor :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I am about to go and obey doctor's orders whilst sofa surfing and watching the Olympics
Healing vibes for your leg, Ionafan. What are we all going to do when the Olympics are over? OH and I are currently watching the show jumping. *impressed and amazed*
I need to suck the carpets free of dog hair and whiskery sewing threads. I've never known a dog moult so much. Then sweeping and washing the kitchen floor so I can sandwich the patchwork quilt together before I can do any more sewing of it. That's going to count as today's flying.Better is good enough.0 -
I've packed our pj bag. As in fleece onesies for the kids and long hoody for me.
Started on my clothes but now sewing buttons on. And drinking coffee lol. I'm not very focused haha.
I'm going to stick some jacket wedges in the air fryer on low in a bit. And I need to assess the contents of my fridge...
I do have a packing list which is just as well as my mind is blank!Bossymoo

Lots of people needing hugs and get-well wishes, Valli, Mrs MP, Iona and various flyhusbands.
Made a good attempt to get up and out early today to see a student. Half way to uni, the car did its jerk and warning light again; that's 3 times in the last 10 days so have booked it in to be looked at next week. Too much of a coincidence that after the last huge bill - which included replacing fuel pipes - it is the engine warning light and signs of fuel blockage. I know it isn't really advisable to use supermarket fuel (so my garage and also a driving instructor friend tell me), but I do.....
Came back from that and have been gathering holiday stuff together - seems a few of us doing that so good luck everyone. Then watched some olympics. As the next batch of show jumping is 5.30 I'm going to have a HHC to get something done. anyone up for it?Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Hi all
Back from 4 days camping at the seaside. Wonderfully relaxing, and the sun shone! We left DS1 home alone for 2 days as he didnt want to miss an important pre-season footie match. I think he was secretly quite glad to join us for the second half of the holiday.
All my love Valli. When DS1 was really poorly I cut myself off from people, I couldnt cope with feeling sorry for other people not knowing what to say. The last straw was when DS was in a really bad way with his mental health and someone asked if he was "putting it on". I wish now that I had been a bit stronger though because it has left me quite isolated.
Anyhow I am really sleepy, was awake early this morning. Have tidied away most of the holiday gibble and made a start on the washing. The rest can wait until tomorrow.0 -
Where do you go, YL? We go tomorrow.
Have sorted kitchen but we didn't do the conservatory so will have to be tomorrow now. Might try for an early night and hopefully be more productive in the morning.
DD made me chuckle tonight. She's been a bit pesty and was told she was on a last chance to sit nicely and watch the film, or it's bedtime. Next news she was trying to push DS off his chair. Cue tears, taken upstairs and had a cuddle on my bed as she was beside herself. Can't she have another chance? This was her other chance! Can she have a cry? Yes of course! Few minutes later "do you know why you're crying?" "This is my tired cry" lol. She's nearly 6 (years, not months haha)
I think she was relieved to get in bed, in the end
Still packing to do but clothes are sorted. Might just go stick a quick wash on though with my jeans and her swims. Then get some bags out for the food we're taking.
Printed campsite stuff and tickets for one attraction we've booked.Bossymoo

:D:D
Vibes appreciated, she's breathing more easily and was most crotchety when we got there:D:D
I told her about the lady from Stoke who had a song from The Wizard of Oz played at her funeral, her family were expecting over the rainbow but got ding dong the witch is dead! sis has suggested Fire by Arthur Brown or Light my Fire:rotfl::rotfl: and is thinking of advantages of dying young. Looks like there will be laughs as well as tears as we go through this.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
