Vibes appreciated, she's breathing more easily and was most crotchety when we got there:D:D
I told her about the lady from Stoke who had a song from The Wizard of Oz played at her funeral, her family were expecting over the rainbow but got ding dong the witch is dead! sis has suggested Fire by Arthur Brown or Light my Fire:rotfl::rotfl: and is thinking of advantages of dying young. Looks like there will be laughs as well as tears as we go through this.
I have had some fun planning the music for mine. I intend it to be a celebration of my life. Intending to exit to Let's Go Fly a Kite from Mary Poppins......:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

Brilliant! Plus, of course, your family will KNOW what tou would lie, rather than guessing IYSWIM, and it makes making the arrangements easier because decisions have already been made.
I have ironed, so that's up to date, and I have managed to deal with some oaperwork. And found a pile to shred, so that's been done.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Afternoon everyone. Not sure if I've posted this week but I've been lurking and flying when I can around the paid stuff.
Hope all you ones with injuries/illness are on your respective sofas doing nothing.
I can relate to the funeral planning/what to say to people conversation. When I had 'the big C' a few years ago, I decided not to tell anyone (other than DH, one relative who gave me a lift to my first treatment and my boss at work as I needed some time off). I just didn't want it to become the sole subject of conversation and as the children were small I didn't want them hearing anything if they didn't need to. And of course, I recovered. Not sure I'd do the same again though. The children are now adults and I'd want to come on here at least for all the support you give.
Today I have:
Done a meal plan
Done big shop and village shop
Walked LittleyDog on a new route
Plan now is to make some jam (thanks HB for the recipe) and then start ripping up the carpet in the hall ready to decorate. New carpet is being fitting first week of September so I need to get cracking.
Hope you're all having the best possible day you can.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

Valli I'm so glad your sis is taking a positive attitude - I'm certain it helps. Does she know she has the entire Flylady contingent backing her up, btw? When Mr LW's sis was told she had the big C, her first reaction was "Oh bu88er!"If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I've made one jar of apple jam as a trial, looking good so far, and cooked down some apples to freeze in portions.
Can't lift the carpet today as I need DH to move some furniture first. Can't garden - too rainy and very windy.
So reading it is then.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Flying in the church this morning; think the bats have been having their own olympics judging by all the .....mess.....on the floors. Not to mention the spiders. Discovered that the lady who is on this week's rota to do the flowers is on holiday and hadn't arranged for anyone to do them. Luckily we'd planned to take MIL out for lunch and to do any shopping. Went to Mr T then H0mebase for a new washing line for us and looking at vacuum cleaners for her. Riveting stuff.
Got home, did flower arrangement and whizzed it down to church. Don't imagine much more flying of any description today. Really, really mustn't sit up and watch Mo F at 1.30am if I'm to stand any chance of getting up early to go to the RSPB fair tomorrow.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

The day didn't go to plan. Nipped out at 10am to run an errand, got home at 1pm
By the time I'd eaten lunch, groomed zack (including a hygiene trim so I've discovered it's called :rotfl:), vacuumed downstairs to remove the pack of dogs from the rug, put the shopping away properly, it was time to go back out again. Took Zack with me this time and I regretted it. He pulled all the way jarring my back, hips & knee as it was slippery under foot due to rain.
Tonight however has been much more productive. I've done all the clothing laundry (DD is ironing in the morning), had a good tidy up and rearrange of the desk area, paid all my bills, updated finances and now I'm more than ready for my bed.
No idea what we're doing tomorrow. I'm going to play it by ear depending on what time we get up :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
