Valli big hugs; it is a hard time for you. We're all here trying to support you.

Finished off marathon kitchen clean with a trip to Ald1 then slobbed in front of the olympics - which means I have to get up early (clock check: it is early already) to look over a student essay before I meet her at 10.

*Shorter call* and *reality check* vibes to DanceMum's DS1. It's a toughie learning to budget and a lifelong learning skill, so if that's his only overd-induglence he's doing well, DanceMum. And PAYG might be just the answer. *grow up* for your neighbours heading your way.

You sound very busy, Valli. Please don't wear yourself out, but I get the need to be doing something, anything. I don't know about you but I don't find bubbling that cathartic; it just makes me feel exhausted and headachey. (((hugs))) and *coping vibes* heading your way, along with masses of *empty bed* vibes heading up to Leicester.

I've finished resealing the bath and trimmed and tidied it all up as much as I can. It's very scruffy around the edges so I imagine I'll be redoing it in a few months time but it's a huge improvement in the meantime, and I'm pretty sure I could make a better job of it next time around. Learning curve and all that.

OH is going to help me shift the huge pots on the sundeck so we can move out there. It's all a bit too crowded at the moment, but the edges are lovely after a lot of work this year.

    Then sewing. Good.
    Better is good enough.

Don't worry, Honey Bear, I shan't wear myself out. But sitting around blubbing would have the same effect on me. Plus, if I keep busy I won't be overwhelmed by a mess!

Yesterday was lost to work all day. I did lots of sorting out to see what I had while DD did an even more boring monotonous job for me ;) She got £5 wages for it today so she's not complaining that bad.

Today DD has gone out with friends and won't be back until about 5pm so there's no TV babbling away upstairs or mobile going off constantly. I'm "on holiday" from work (as far as customers are concerned) so my phone is almost silent as my friend who messages me the most is on holiday abroad. Zack is being quiet and lazy as DD isn't here getting him excited and he's already been out for a walk this morning with DD. I have a massive to do list BUT I'm not going to do it :p I'm going to sit down with a posh coffee and my book and read, while enjoying the peace. Once my phone is charged I may take a slow wander down to the shop. I'm very aware that we're set to hit 23c again today and that's just way too hot for me. Roll on Friday and the lower temperatures :rotfl:

    Empty hospital bed vibes X

I'm waiting for fence man. I have washing to hang out. He will need to measure the old fence so I can't put it out until he has been.

Ds2 has thrown Lego everywhere in a temper. He shall be picking that up.

    Hi all

Hope they find somewhere soon valli - where are you hoping for?

DS woke in a foul mood, halfway to club broke down in tears so he hasn't gone. Suspect I've not got to the bottom of it but he says it's boring and they haven't done any football or rugby, just dodgeball and paper aeroplanes - not exactly sports club!

So he's had to come with us and watch DD swim (she ended up crying too - frustrated lol, what a day!)

Just tidied up after lunch and waiting on WM #2 then they will have to come to college with me - hopefully I won't cry

Then we are going to pop to @ldi which is near there and buy a few bits for camping.

    Hope you're ok CY xx

Words had with DS :( he doesn't know what's wrong. Told him that's fine, and I'm here to listen when he's ready, but I won't tolerate attitude. He said he doesn't always mean what he says. Bless him. Told him I'd send him back to boring sports club where they don't play sports if he doesn't stop being a grot :rotfl:

Flown a bit more in the garden, minced the lawn and generally tidied. Laundry all collected and ready to go away. Just keeping on top of kitchen other than that. School holidays are proving messier than I imagined lol.

Had some shopping delivered as we are away camping from Saturday - some essentials to take with us. Have also started a small pile of things we'll want to take with us.

DD ventured onto road today with her bike, we've graduated from the grassy, soft landings, lol. No incidents - she needs help setting off and gets in a pickle turning, but very impressed for day 3. She also easily did a 10m backstroke and plenty of floating. Then she ran around the garden. Thinking of putting her in for the triathlon, lol.

Her old / small bike is going next door for their granddaughter so will have room in the bike store for the garden chairs that are currently homeless!
