Thank you for the lists Valli and natty.
Hugs and coping vibes for all who need them.
Been off list today have posted ds2s passport renewal, cleared a load of carp out of the shed, landrover full of rubble and garage filler and rubbish from mils so skip is looking quite full now. Have another load of rubble and and leaky waterbutt to collect tomorrow.
Dh was fed up with the slow drain on the kitchen sink so he took all the pipes off and gave them a good clean through, it runs perfectly now, while there he did the filter on the wm.
Had impromptu dive in the skip as postie had left a parcel in the pile of rubbish on the drive the day we left, plumbers mate then helpfully put all rubbish in skip and didn't notice the parcel so it went in as well. Luckily we found it- a rather soggily packaged 7in vinyl ds1 had ordered. Sleeve now dry and vinyl luckily unscratched.
Having a chilled crabbies in the garden now.SPC~12 ot 124

Afternoon everyone, thought I would get that list up early today...lol Actually I'm just back from visiting a friend in Herne Bay and am now having a cup of tea before I do HH ironing. Although that's if I can persuade my younger cat to stop climbing all over me...lol
Wrote my Master to do list for getting the house up to scratch so we can sell it in 4 to 5 years time. We are moving to mid-wales with my "sister" who has just bought a zoo in BorthI was pleasantly surprised at how cosmetic the stuff that needs doing was.. Luckily it isn't anything major which is a blessing
And I've ticked one thing off the list already - bought a pedestal mat for the toilet
Yep you did read that correctly we are moving to mid wales from KentBit of a jump for me and I'm terrified but it's something I want to do and once DH has retired, or got redundancy, then we are free to go there

Sounds a lovely plan natty, I do hope everything works out and you get to live your dream
Just remembered something else we've done today-metal filing cabinet from lounge has found a new home in the hall alcove and the printer is now on shelf in hall below phone plus to find ds2s out of date passport everything had to come out of a cupboard do crafting stash was tidied and a broken storage puffee/seat was emptied and went in the skip.
Food is in oven, and 2nd drink is poured.
Will eat in the garden then crochet I thinkSPC~12 ot 124

Sounds amazing natty what a lovely plan to look forward to!
Dinner has been had an kitchen cleaned up after. Kids are now having supper ("starving, mummy!") too. They've been ver active today since after all the clubs and sports they've now had a water battle in the garden too.
Lol, I gave them a soapy sponge to wipe themselves down while running through the sprinkler haha. Saves running a bath, just hose 'em down :rotfl:
Swim and sports gear all in WM and will go in airing cupboard overnight to dry. It's towels that are needed, really.
I've ordered some frosted window film for the patio doors - it's supposed to help with glare as well as privacy so hopefully it will provide a bit of insulation in both directions IYSWIM.
Also thinking about "perfect fit" blinds for the kitchen - anyone used these? Are they insulating at all? Kitchen is at the back and not overlooked so it's for warmth in winter rather than privacy...
Right, I need to chase these babes to bed - they'll be pooped!Bossymoo

Wm x 2 is on
1st load is on the line, pegged out.
I have a bar kitchen window, never had a blind or anything at it, but then it looks out over the garden and is not over looked.
Shopping list made for tomorrow

thanks for threads.
Valli more big hugs.
Had a nice weekend with BIL and pleased to see how well my mum was getting on; I zipped over to see her on Sat as she only lives half an hour from BIL. Did a bunch of shopping and gardening for her, so she was happy.
Got home last night and realise what a total mess the house is in - practically every room has something which needs dealing with as there is a lot of "aftermath" like all the paperwork I have scattered round the study from doing my tax return; washbag we took away for the w/e needs emptying; just loads of little jobs. Having spent the afternoon watching dressage, I have decided to do a quick blitz on a few things then maybe deal with them as the rooms come onto the list.
So far:
- one load washing done, hung out, brought in
- greenhouse and baskets watered
- one load through dishwasher
- went to Pilates
Strange time to have a HHC but anyone up for it? I hope to:
check new emails
sort new post
label outgoing stuff to be posted
wash up
put last few days of food/exercise onto MFP
any time left over, start on the kitchenRemember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Evening all - recently got home from a day out at the beach with mutts and small people. We went to Aberdovey and it was absolutely beautiful. It was as good, if not better, than sandy beaches you get abroad, the weather was hot with a little bit of a breeze and despite it being the summer holidays, it wasn't packed. Just lovely - completely unplanned. DH suggested it, drove and was pack donkey for all the heavy things like the windbreak, so I had a marvellous day. Bit pink, despite factor 50 cream and I have sand in all sorts of unspeakable places, but it was an amazing day. Natty when you join us in mid-Wales, you will love it here!

Evening everyone and a warm welcome to Rainedaze :hello:
Another fantastic day at the Games - go Team GB
Sounds a terrific future plan Natty - is it the Animalarium ?
John L*wis says their blinds have good thermal qualities Bossy - probably others do as well
Lovely to hear you had an enjoyable day Dizzy - you deserved one
Dusted the whole place top to bottom
Sorted all the recycling and helped DH put in car
Managed to eat a minor frog today - cleared all the clutter on, around and under the printer. Why do the things we keep putting off not seem to take that long to clear once we start :rotfl:
