Good luck with quitting sugar, squiggles!
I made a bit of a mistake today. I was out all day and although I'd prepared plenty of salad, I also discovered some Oatibix lurking in the back of the cupboard and decided to fill up on that in the morning. Mistake, didn't touch anything else until about 8pm at which time I had some fruit. I'm back now and am trying to stuff a dose of veg down. I'd planned for 6:0 today, but its ended up being just 3:1.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Today I had the last of the kale salad with spuds and pea pesto for breakfast (I don't usually eat breakfast, but that was a seriously nice dish); bananas for lunch and crispy chilli chicken for dinner with carrots and broccoli.

So 14 veg, 3 fruit. Turns out it can be done!0 -

Today was a 6:2 day, yippee! (But only because I ate the salad I'd prepared for yesterday
). Planning really is the key here!
greenbee, I must say that I am fascinated by your success. But I am also wondering how big (or small) your portions sizes are?Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Portion sizes are 80g as per the guidelines. Some slightly under, some over so it balances out.
Takes ages to eat, but you need to eat a lot as most has pretty much no calories.
It helps that this is how I like to eat and I have very little interest in protein or carbs unless they are particularly bad for me!
Hotel room fridge is full of salad. Tonight I had courgette, fennel, lentils (6); carrot/beetroot (7) and tomato (8) salads while trying to prep for work tomorrow.
Plenty of salad left for tomorrow and I also brought my blender and smoothie-making stuff.0 -

Today lunch was a large bowl of soup (split pea) and salad, I'm calling 2 for the soup (1 for the pulses and 1 for the veg) and five for the salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, spring onion, grated carrot and sweetcorn).
Dinner (just finished, tsk) was hm burgers, 350g ratatouille on a bed of kale. Stuffed is an understatement.
