Full sun for about 4 hours 10-2.30  but totally shaded from 3pm.  It is going to be trial and error, it will either like it or not, and let me know very quickly.

I have just sent an email to another company doing the same thing I do, but they are bigger, and have many more ceremonies... I cannot keep going on £3.5k a year, I need more, so I went direct and asked..... Nothing ventured and all that. 
 I blame Dave Ramsey, he keeps telling me to get a second (and third) job.
In other, more surprising news .......The rubbish pension that I joined 2 years ago somehow has 3x as much money in there than I have allegedly paid in ( and I have not had any money come off my anticipated earnings either ....?) So that was nice. I have 2 tiny pension funds now,  with 16 years to grow into mighty oak trees.
School broke up at 12.15 - total torture for them, in this heat 🥵 . 
Summer starts here!! No alarms for 48 hours before I flee North to earn money - weather forecast  Monday - Rain.  Tuesday - Rain. Wednesday - dry ( no chance!)

I have an orange tomato ! Just the one. The rest are all green, but one has got the memo and is doing what it ought to.  Hooray!  I still have strawberries, and mulberries, the courgettes and cukes are flowering, the tomatoes are flowering, the pumpkin (called Steve) is growing and putting out weird fat growths, the potatoes are still flowering, the beans are flowering,  so they all got a good feeding tonight, and they will do what they will while I am away.      Plenty of butterflies and bees and hoverflies outside, so it must be working. 

Went to the free food shop this morning, and now the freezer is full, the bread bin is full, and I am full of a rather lovely cauliflower and (not) chicken curry.  Thanks DH!

Someone in the USofA has died of the bubonic plague.... shame they sacked all the people who would have tracked where it came from.  The plague is obviously part of the liberal agenda.  Woke mind virus, like cultural Marxism, and  polio vaccines....  (Aaaaaaaaaarrgggggggghhhhhh!!!).  Is he trying to recreate a Zombie Movie??

For the last 48 hours work people have been contacting me with daft questions they already have the answers to, we all have the same sheet of paper with the details on. I have no more info than they do.   But still I get - what time do we have to be there? Am I starting on Sunday or Monday? Where is the hotel? What should I wear? What is the weather like in Manchester (always assume it will rain, because, you know, it's Manchester!) What train/'ticket should I get?  etc etc etc.   Grrr!

I have written all my postal entries for competitions, and will post those with my spy-post tomorrow.  Then  I will pack my bag. Then I will cover myself in body lotions and potions and deep condition my hair. My wild hair is definitely more unkempt than kempt right now. I am a wire haired terrier rather than the silky Afghan Hound I should be.  Stupid hormones.  Stupid hair!

Really looking forward to earning some money next week.

So I am not ignoring you, I am in an exceptionally seedy hotel in Lancashire, probably in fear of my life or sanity or both..... and please keep everything crossed for me, that nobody feels the need to discuss their bowels with me (honestly, I am still traumatised ) ... or you might next hear from me from HMP Styal, but only because Strangeways is a male prison.

That sounds like you are in south M/c that is your big mistake North is so much nicer.  Be grateful it is not even supposed to rain & hasn't for some time in the wettest city in the whole of England.

Well it was 30 in my bedroom this morning as it faces the sun but "only" 27 now downstairs.  I am around 12 miles north of central Manchester & this is set for the day according to the forecast.  The solar batteries were full by 8.50 & I am going to have to see what I need to do to use it before I lose it.

I still put Lancs in my address but once they have the postcode everyone just ignores it.

I seem to have accidentally got another job..... oops!

Monday lunchtime I found out my man-boss, who I really like working with, and who actually valued my skill set, told me he was leaving in one week, and there is nobody to replace him. So lady-boss who does not like me will be responsible for (not) booking me for events until there is a replacement. Fiddle it to Hull and back! I said loudly, and probably selfishly. 

In a fit of despair, in bed on Monday night,  I sent an exceptionally cheeky email to company X asking for an application form, on Tuesday the form arrived  with a question asking if I was the same f0xh0les who works for company Y?.... as I was working at this other event and I did not have access to a printer to do all the forms,  I sent an email with an apology and said I would fill out the forms over the weekend, but yes, for there is but one f0xh0les and that indeed is I .  Having an unusual name helps sometimes. 

20 minutes later I got an email asking if I fancied working at an event 20 miles away Mon-Fri next week. I agreed, and I am on the job sheet already, and I haven't even filled out an application form yet! 

It is a very small, very incestuous sector and they gossip something chronic, so they know exactly who they are getting, even my ID number is the same as with company Y, so basically it is the same company, just using a different front door.  This is going to be interesting. 

I am determined to end this financial year paying tax.  I will clear just over £1k for my 65 hour / 6 day week, according to my timesheet. Submitted all that and will do my expenses tomorrow.

I earned every penny of that money, as I was babysitting 3 lovely 18 year old boys, 2 amazingly flamboyant 20 year old men, and the  invisible work friend who I am a bit worried about - she drank by the gallon every single night, and seems not to have a spidey-sense for  dangerous men.  But she is an adult - she just happens to be a nutter magnet, but I had to be responsible from 7am to at least 1am,  and it is exhausting keeping her safe when I start work 4 hours before her.   She is a spiking incident waiting to happen. I told her what could've easily happened when we were traveling back today and she was a captive audience.  She has obviously not even considered how dangerous her behaviour has been, and how dangerous men can be, while we are in strange hotels for work. 

As a courtesy I emailed unfriendly boss to let her know I am working for company X as well now.  I would hate for her to walk into her office on Monday and find out at the shared kitchenette that I am being unfaithful. 

I am going to spend tomorrow doing my laundry and ironing ((shudder)) my whites for next week.  I have a mountain of paperwork to print out and sign.

I have researched my commute, it is supposed to take 52 minutes so I will leave 90 minutes to make sure, which means leaving at 6am Monday.  Then probably 6.15am for the rest of the week.  No idea what time I will finish, but it will all become clear after the first day and I will still get home in daylight. 

 I am firmly of the opinion you can do anything, as long as you can see the finish line.  5 days will be fine. I will not be trapped in a job I hate with no exit strategy. It is an adventure, and I will not be in a  position of authority or responsibility for this one.

The work friend sounds like an exhausting liability. I hope your little chat with her, ‘lands’ and she grows up a bit!
