Apparently they just turned up in the postbox  🤔... It's a miracle 💫 anyway I will get them paid next week a mere 5 weeks after submission.  Anyone for a game of silly b*ggers? 
At least I will be earning something next week. This money is earmarked for a new duvet and bedsheets. I upgraded to a superking bed three years ago but only have a king duvet, and it looks silly. About time it was allowed to look fabulous. 
The money from the work in February is earmarked for sliding wardrobes with mirror doors. 
I know where I am heading, and each job is a step closer to those goals. 
The Birmingham family weekend was super spendy, and took a grand out of my budget, but was worth it.
I think Feb Half Term will be spent with in-laws. There is legal stuff that needs doing. Luckily I am working the week before and finish on the Friday night that school breaks up. 
I am trying very hard to be organised.

Aaaaand she's back in the room!

Work went well, all things considered... i.e. someone actively telling you not to do your job, then someone stole my phone on Thursday.  So I have been busy getting replacement sims, a new phone (£170), trying to remember what apps I had - I had this phone for less than 30 days, but had factory reset my old one so have to do it manually.

Saturday morning DS4 put his new-at-Christmas mobile phone through the washing machine while trying to be helpful and grown up and doing his own laundry.  He now has my factory reset one. DH is fuming. 

Payday for DH is Friday, but I won't get paid for last week until end of Feb, along with the next event pay, so it will be a nice wodge of cash (even minus the new phone).

DH is ill, it took less than 2 weeks for him to be coughing and sneezing and aching. He comes into contact with a huge viral load - 130 in  his biggest lecture - so it is not surprising, but it is really annoying.  

There is going to be a lot of soup in our future to try and keep him upright and functioning.

Happy Payday!!

Housekeeping came in this morning, so I paid off the credit card bill that I have been chipping away at all month - (£1800 at the start of the month) paid off the last £560 today, no fees here!

Ended the month with £70 in the bank, and having paid off most of the cc bill, and with most of the food shopping done, so really can't be unhappy with that.

I have 4 kids at the dentist this afternoon so that will get that out of the way for another 6 or 12 months

All bills go out Saturday 1st or Monday 3rd. 

Premium Bond draw on Monday

Working 10th-14th February then I have nothing at all for 21 whole weeks.  

So I guess will be job hunting.

Been looking at WFH jobs with my youngest.  Quite a lot of them require fearsome administration and excellent language skills - sound familiar??.  My google search was "working from home indeed"  maybe you like to get out the house, but plenty of side hustle material

Happy birthday to ds3 for yesterday. Hope he enjoyed the cake!

Thanks apple, he is a big 17 today. 
DH bravely came out with us ( he coughed all flipping night long ) and we went to a Lebanese falafel joint. Trainers were needed for DS3 and DS2 so £102 later , everyone was happy. Cake has been consumed.

Won £200 on the PBs this morning. Thank you very much PBGods. DH won £25, kids won nothing.

Expenses were due, but again they will be late, next week apparently.

Cleared more floor in the back room, I now have takeaway containers with lids, containing pens, pencils, colouring pencils, scissors (how many pairs of scissors??)  and highlighter pens.  That cleared up a lot of pen jars that can go into the recycling.  They are neatly stacked on the shelves. 

A lot of empty bottles for DHs perfume making are also lined up. You can only buy in 100s apparently. he has a lot of sizes of a lot of spray bottles.

I found another two old phones (broken) and DHs very old clamshell m0t0r0la from the time when phones were for talking and sending texts. Very retro cool.

The air fryer has died. I bought it on 26th September, it lasted barely over 4 months, and was not used for the first 4 weeks of that. I will try and take it back to Mr Leedl. No longer have the box, but I do have the online receipt.

So annoyed about the work expenses! It is less than £100, but that really is not the point. 

DHs cough was a bit better last night.  I managed to sleep, so I will reward him with a puff pastry pie and roast potatoes for supper tonight.  I feel slightly more human today.

Don't knock that motorola clamshell.  I am still using mine.  At least you can't pocket call anyone with it.  One of my friends is always doing that.

I loved those clamshell phones. They fit into your pocket and got smaller and smaller,  and you could only keep 10 texts at a time, and it was always a huge decision which one to delete so you could receive them again (had just met Mr Redo!).

Hurrah on the PBs.
