I have never had it paid into a different account, I have always rolled it over.  I am nowhere near the £10k earnings before paying tax anyway.

Got up early, did the washing up from last night and cleaned the worktops, had a shake for breakfast - small changes make big differences.......

Superking Duvet and Duvet cover ordered and will be delivered tomorrow along with one more deep fitted bottom sheet.  Annoyingly I have accidentally ordered the wrong size of another duvet cover, they do not even do it in Superking so don't know what I was thinking!  I will return that to store on Thursday.  Remembered to Register my Nekktar Card to my Greek Boat Account.

Organised Building & Contents insurance. Under £400 (last year it was over £600 but it was all whistles and bells and god knows what else.  Registered my Nekktar Card so will get points from Sainsbobs Insurance.

Hoovered and cleaned and stole back mugs and glasses from 4 bedrooms (DS1 and DS2 claim to be doing their own), Cleaned the bathrooms and loos, laundry load 4 is in the machine. Drying load 3 is tumbling merrily. Can't wait to be able to line dry again, when next door actually put a roof on the house.  They have disappeared again, no sight for about 2 months now

Hall and stairs hoovered and tidied, the shoe mountain has been brought into order. 

DHs laundry all put away.

Boys next door knocked on to ask to borrow our meter box key - gave them our spare - our lock is broken anyway.

Going to chill out a bit, sew on a button or two, do my work whites ironing ready for my next arranged job in July (sigh!).  

To the untrained observer I will be reading a bodice ripper on the sofa, but really I am doing the laundry, descaling the kettle and coffee machine,  cleaning the loos, and baking frozen pretzels..... Simultaneously.

One thing though … Why does your ability to line dry washing depend on next door renewing their roof …? 🤔 #confused

Massive amounts of brick dust, bits of roof falling down, mortar, all the carp off the scaffold where they have sawn wood etc.  It is filthy out there and you just end up washing it all again as it comes in gritty.

Easter will be 8 years since someone properly lived there.  The 'gardeners' who were tending the cannabis plants.

Maybe the winter rains will have packed it all down into something a bit more solid?

Hopefully they will return and put slates on the roof, put glass in the windows, and rent it out to normal people.  It is just a shell right now. A dusty, dirty, bare brick skeleton with birds living in it and piles of sand and dirt. 
But, eventually they will sort it or sell it. 
Very much looking forward to new bedding tomorrow,  and more cleaning! Woo hoo!

You would think they would want some money out of it rather than leave it festering.  Empty houses don't improve.

Bedding looks fabulous. DH is a very happy little sleeperman. I have not woken up with a tiny handkerchief size corner of cover since I got it.  That is one problem that seems to have been solved.   Hooray!

One week of February left...

£300 still in the budget,  plus child benefit coming in tomorrow, and work expenses coming back to me on Tuesday.

I sorted the house insurance, did the food shopping, cleaned and cleared another m2 of the back room, hoovered all the floor space I can actually see. The rest is still under storage boxes.  Washed the kitchen floors twice.  

Hung all the mirrors and pictures back on the walls, I have filled another full carrier bag with excess bubble wrap that DH hoards. 

Shopping bargain of the week was 98p for 2 Gu pots of gazillionaires shortbread (ys). So I bought 3.  Had one for breakfast this morning with nice coffee and the politics.  It is no wonder I need to lose weight. 

 It was, however, exceptionally enjoyable and I would do it again.  It was also GF and  around 330 calories.

I was also back under 13 stones this morning after my soup substitution regime last week.  4lb down on the start of the month. Upping the vegetables and salad and soups, and then falling over at the ys hurdle of bargain vegan deserts. 

I have not baked anything this week, not a loaf, nor a scone, nor a sponge.

Then along comes Greek Week at Herr Ledl .  I am the architect of my own weightloss failure. 

I do love a filo anything.
