I'm with you on the waiting around - I thought I would be today, but my oil delivery arrived at 6.30am and the spare room headboard at 9.30, so both out of the way before starting work.

Are you pleased with the carpets?

I definitely wish you luck with that lot! No point prodding or poking DS1 or 2 into doing some of the laundry tasks?

DS1 killed the dryer in the early hours of the morning drying his clothes to go to London. He didn't even get out of bed to help yesterday.
DS2 had to get up because his room was getting a carpet and I made him dismantle his bed at 7am.  He did help me move my stuff, but only when asked.
DS3 came out to help a bit.  DS4 was at school.
So 3 loads dried before bedtime. One nearly finished now.
Today will be sponsored by Pers1l ( 75% reduced huge box which was crushed and taped up) and volunteering and making space.

Well done on the laundry. Bah to DS1’s wrecking of the tumble dryer! I am assuming repair costs will be funded by him …?

I’m glad the draughts have stopped, but yes it’s cold. 12 degrees in my bedroom this morning.

    Humph …. <Hard stare sent in DS1’s direction>

I was VERY glad to get home this evening and know that I won’t be going anywhere, at all, for any reason, for two days! (I hope so anyway.)
