Oh good old Mr Bennett! He mustn't have been a ToryI am more than half way through not having DH about the place. Worryingly, I am really not missing him at all. He is just the cherry on top of the chocolate sauce on top of the whipped cream on top of the sundae that is my life. Nati0nwide appear to be paying out another loyalty bonus next month. That will come in handy, but I have only been a member since November, so maybe not... and they are raising the switch bonus to £200 for new members. The app is good, and I have not had any problem with it, nor have I been spammed to Venus and back, unlike certain other terrible banks I could mention. So I am very happy with my triumvirate of Halif4x, C0ventry, and Nati0nwide.As usual, there is more month than money leftover, but that is because I have shunted far too much into the bathroom renovation fund. I am running a very very tight ship, it is not sustainable long term, but short term, while DH is away, it is do-able. DH has had confirmation of his Nati0nwide bonus, I have not, so I suppose I don't get it this time. Oh well, will just have to win big on the old PB's next weekend. Did a quick tally of what I have won over the last 14 draws and it averages out at £200 a month. About time I had a big one.Went to pick up my free pineapple (was going to buy a 28p pack of spaghetti) and noticed I had another free spin, so picked up a free packet of red chillies, got to the till, and there were magic boxes there !! |Picked up two (there were plenty left) and now I have two full fruitbowls, and a fridge full of veg. Got another free spin, and next week I will pick up my free 4 pack of avocados. I could seriously get used to this.Picked up the kids from school, came home, learnt how to mend DS4s brakes, fixed his brakes, felt very smug.Made a jar of pesto and the spaghetti into a meal with a massive head of broccoli and garlic bread.Feeling utterly in control. Very calm and relaxed. Also emailed DS2 5 more jobs to apply for - he has not yet applied for yesterday's or Wednesday's offerings. I am not looking forward to DH coming home and starting a fight about it. to the idea of having a joint account with DH!! He has been a fiscal nightmare for so long, I am glad not to even be mortgage linked to him any more, which coincidentally, happened just when the penny started to drop with him, and he started saving regularly.
