Another £75 on the PBs today, and my eb0y sale came in at £105, so £88 for me after fees. Instead of scrimping and ferreting away £1000 this month, I have transferred £500 to the Bathroom fund, so that is now sitting at £6k, I am still on track, and there is wriggle room in the budget. Only have one day of paid worth booked in this month though.Things are getting done here. Still bug-hunting, still ironing, laundering, and still clearing stuff out- have a big box of metal for the tip, and a broken sewing machine for recycling, so will head over there tomorrow and that will leave the house. There is another broken sewing machine, but I don't know which one it is, so will need Himself to say which other one can leave - we will still have 2. He really should stop buying things and keeping the old broken things. Will go through the pantry and remove all the baking trays and weird things I have not used in the last 2 years and get a box ready for the charity shop. If I am not using it, it can leave. There must be cake tins that someone else can enjoy.Recycled a bag of wholemeal flour into 2 large pizzas and a loaf of fruited tea bread. It had been in there long enough.Banging continues on both sides, it is really, really tiring. DS1 tested negative this afternoon. Hooray!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I too only won £75. Quite low compared to last Oct & Nov. I have been working out the ongoing % and I am running at 5.5% so no reason at all to complain.

Sorry for the absence, the day DS1 tested negative, DS4 tested positive, so I have been stuck in the house as he is under bedroom arrest. DS3 has 4 more GCSE exams before he is allowed to catch it, but DS4 is now bored and trying to sneak out of his room. The positive result was quite faint this afternoon, so hoping he will be clear on the morning test and can go back to school. The school even rang up to talk to him on Friday - to make sure we were not poolside on holiday more like! So as far as he (DS4) is concerned, he is no longer contagious. Except the idiot is still contagious!! Luckily I have so far avoided it, as I could really do with being able to work on Friday. So I did an IKE4 order on Wednesday for delivery today, and spent the afternoon building a desk, and two big bookshelves, and ferrying hundreds of books up two flights of stairs from the back room to DHs new study. The shorter bookshelf in the back room needs bracing on the back, and then it can go and live in DS1s room, and that should clear about 3 packing boxes out of his room. Now I have the most enormous burst blister on the palm of my right hand, from all the screwing, and it really did not appreciate me doing the washing up afterwards.I have scheduled a free (5 item) bulky waste collection for next Monday from the city council. Worst case scenario it will be 3 items.Anyway, I have carved out a 2m2 section of carpet in the back room, next to the patio doors onto the yard, which is now not totally covered in piles of articles and book towers, and empty cardboard envelope sleeves from Amaz0n (???). I despair of the man, honestly I do! The carpet was hoovered in that small puddle of calm, and I moved an armchair into the space, so I can sit in the sunshine, safely behind glass, and not spontaneously combust or have to reach for the factor 50 after 12 seconds.I am reclaiming the back room, inch by inch, it does not need to be a recording studio/office any more. It can go back to being a useful room for the whole family. Well, once all the stuff is sorted out ........Oh, my little Brazilian boy got the job! from a minimum wage job, to a starting salary of £40k in September. I am so happy for him, and he is pretty ecstatic himself. Yay! Such good news!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I just tested positive for Covid, and DS4 got clipped by a car on his way home from school the first day back after a week in his bedroom with covid. Just a bruised shoulder blade luckily, but the helmet did its job. There will not be a problem with him wearing a helmet from now on, he gets it. Finally....

Oh shoot for you.
Glad DS4 is not worse hurt.2 -
He was waved across the road by a slow moving car, who then sped up and clipped his back wheel, stopped long enough to see him get up and drag his bike to the kerb, then drove off. He still had tears on his face 3 miles later when he got home. Poor love. But he got back in the saddle this morning, hardly a scratch on him, and rode off happiily.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
