Well, earned the best part of £1000 for 6 days work - it was over 80 hours though. Yay! Roll on payday at the end of September.Took DS2 to college this morning. Nipped into Herr L's and nabbed 3 x 4 pack 20p toastie muffins and 12 rolls for lunchboxes tomorrow when the other 2 go in. Also 4 boxes of cereal and 2 slabs of 4nchor butter. £6.09, then went to the charity shop closest to their school and asked if they had any blazers, got told nope, nothing like that, then found 3 in plain sight in the menswear section and one was the size I needed, for £5, with the badge already sewn on. Why not say 'I don't think so, but if we did they would be in ____ section' but just 'No we don't'. Grrr. I might have just turned around and sadly trudged to the next one.....Anyway, by 9.40am I had DS2 at college, had given away a pair of outgrown size 3 school shoes, and a school badge embroidered PE kit, to 2 different people, yesterday another 2 x full PE kits went to another lady, all via 0li0. Had shopped and found a blazer. Now back home on the sofa with a nice cup of tea feeling vaguely smug-ish. I had achieved half my list for the day before 10amDS3 has an eye test booked today, DS4 has an eye test booked for tomorrow after school. All praise the NHS and all who sail in her.Solicitors have been contacted asking for an update. Lazy, slow, workshy, articles that they are.£11.06 left in the bank account until payday tomorrow. That is all that is left of my budget. I know I can transfer money back in from savings accounts, but it is a handy reminder that each month the surplus amount leftover is getting smaller and smaller. Luckily there should not be any more expenses for s/g's estate, but I am still waiting for a refund for her house insurance (£259)Oh, and 4nchor dairy free butter is £1.49 in Herr L's this week instead of £1.99 or more in Mr T's and The (Chicken) Coop.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I have turned the house upside down looking for my lunch receipt for 22nd August. Cannot find the flippin thing anywhere - we got a meal allowance if we worked after 8pm, it is worth £25 to me. I have them all for the rest of the week, but no Monday - where has it gone? Can be for any amount, it is a flat rate, but where the bugg3r is it??? I have submitted the rest with a note that Monday's will follow, hope I find it. I was dealing solely in cash so can't even do a screenshot of my bank statement. How can I only lose one?? It is ridiculous, but it is just gone.Ended up going £4 over budget, so transferred £5 from savings until the morning. The boys still resemble haystacks, but will be shorn before the weekend. They will just have to go in hairy tomorrow.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Have you looked in coat pockets, pockets in handbag / purse. Tucked in a magazine / book you took with you. In the car? I realise you probably have but worth a mention just in case. Can you remember what you bought and where from, might help remembering where you put it?Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

6 pack of pom bears and some fizzy pop! Thought it was in my phone case along with all the others, but when I came to write the day of the week on them and staple them to my expenses form, all the others were there, but not stupid Monday's.

Plenty of emails sent this morning - all relating to s/g's estate though.Chasing up solicitors as to what they are doing this lunar cycle. They replied they had sent letters today!! During a postal strike??? I think notChasing up records departments in NI about discharge papers from hospitals for the insurance claimChasing up auctioneers about my 'vast inheritance' ( looking at sub £300, but tbh I am grateful for anything right now)Chasing up her brother and sister to send their ID and bank details to the solicitor so they can receive some moneyand finally, a thank-you email to the lady who booked me to work last week with a reminder I have transport and am willing to travel the length and breadth of the country in return for money.
smile:
Got two kids to school on time, one walking, one driving, scored 2 Herr L's magic F&V boxes - 3 onions, 4 bunches of asparagus, punnet of mushrooms, 5 peppers, 7 avocado, a parsley plant, 8 apples, 8 clementines, punnet of nectarines, punnet of grapes, 12 victoria plums, 2 lemons, 2 pears, 3 kiwis, and because that was not enough fruit, I bought a punnet of raspberries for 20p and they were lush = £3.20 The fruit bowl looks fab.The rest of the morning has been spent divvying up the things I want to achieve this week. DH is away next week from 7am on Tuesday until 8pm Sunday night. So I want to get 'loud' things done while he is not here, and 'organisey' things that stress him out because things keep 'moving' (- like furniture)Back on the RM survey so free stamps for that date in December.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
