I have a rather nice sparkling water infused with cucumber, mint, and lime (in a can) in the fridge for you.   Very refreshing.

Would it be worth doing a car boot @f0xh0les ? You likely won't get what you could get selling items individually but it would hopefully get rid of some and something is better than nothing. Plus at least they'll be out of landfill and at a new home. Although I am not sure what items you have so they may not be booty suity

aaand the in-laws have not rocked up yet.  So we have eaten without them. 

 I am going with the 'they may be too upset to want to bother with company tonight' and 'they have driven a long way and might be tired' or, 'they could have broken their texting finger' and therefore can't contact us, or maybe just 'killer bees' although 'murder death hornets' sounds better.

They rang at quarter to ten, asking if they could still come round or if it was too late.  They seemed very hungry.  Well, they ate quickly, does that count?

Lots of tales of bad behaviour at the funeral and wake, about people I have never heard of and definitely never met.  Other people's families eh?   It sounds like the more money they have, the nastier the fallout when they die.

Ah yes, the old 'we're family ' entitlement where people who haven't seen a family member for years nor done anything of note for them whilst they were alive seem to think they by rights should have a slice of the estate cake.

Solicitor's secretary has been in touch - surprise surprise she has been on holiday for the last week, after the office was closed the 11 days before, so the money came into their business account, and nothing could be done for 19 days while they were all on their holibobs, and they are still waiting on closing the last account as the bank has not returned the grant of probate....((liars!!)) I do not believe a word of it.  They are sitting on the money while it is in their bank account.   Awful!

Blimey I hope this is all over by the end of next month.  Insurance on the property runs out on 14th - I thought 4 and a half months would be enough to sell a house, but possibly not.  Urgh!
