I too bought a present today, saw the absolute perfect picture for a family member from a small village shop where I live. Last one, didn’t want to take the chance they’d restock.Carolbee6

I too have bought a few xmss gifts in prep. Largley so i know a few are out of the way by that time of year.
Some of the festive candle scents are vile. I love the cinnamon and clove types but if my gingerbread ever smells like half the ones i whiffed, I've done something really wrong.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Academic diary came in the post today, and I cannot believe how many things I had to put in it for next year already! Bought from the Big River store, because I got some free vouchers on a surveys site, and so it cost me sub £1.00. DH has already tried to steal it off me
I don't think it will do me day-to-day, but will be brilliant for putting dates in to copy over in January - I mean most non-employed people have a diary diary and an appointments diary don't they? Maybe I won't be non-employed by then. What a nice thought. Got confirmation of my 4 nights in a hotel for work next month, so that all seems to be arranged. Should earn just over £500, which will not only pay for taking the kids to the grandparents on the boat + petrol, but also 5 nights in either Wales or Norfolk in a YHA next to a beach. Sadly the kids are being absolutely horrible right now, so I don't really fancy taking them anywhere
. Maybe they need a good run on a beach away from their bedrooms and they might turn into nice people again? DH has decided they are positively rotten and he has had enough of all of them, I only left them alone for 2 nights!!Cleaned the top floor, the middle floor, and all the bathrooms today. Stripped and remade beds, did masses of laundry and line dried it. Emptied 3 ex-step-gran boxes, I do not think I will ever have to buy cleaning products again (or at least not this year!)....or laundry powder. Sadly I also now have those nasty smelly pods to get rid of, might just donate to food bank rather than inflict them on my household.Six and a half school days to go!4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

Plenty of people getting caught out with the tides & sandbanks & needing to be rescued on the north norfolk beaches currently f0xh0les so maybe you could bring them and then leave without

I was just about to suggest the same 🤣🤣trix-a-belle said:Plenty of people getting caught out with the tides & sandbanks & needing to be rescued on the north norfolk beaches currently f0xh0les so maybe you could bring them and then leave without
F0xholes - I'm sure that anyone at the food bank or Olio etc would appreciate the laundry pods if you don't want them. Laundry detergent is so expensive.

Murder was not on my list of things to do with them this summer. Besides, I would probably end up in gaol on charges of neglect as DS4 is still only 12. Reckless Rockpooling. Aggravated Paddling. Actual Bodily Sand. Dangerous restriction of Wifi.
