In other news, the energy bill this month was £20 less than last month - it is because DH is out of the house teaching for at least a couple of hours a day, and the washing line has been deployed a couple of times instead of the drying machine.

Need to keep it up.

Urgh, just got email from energy company to say the DD is going up to £233 a month.  This time last year it was  about £77.  Nevermind, they can only take from that what you use, and from April my gas usage is practically negligible and the electricity usage goes down too.  Good job all my appliances are super-duper low energy AAA rated and all my bulbs are low energy too.   I can afford the increase, so must not grumble too much, they will end up owing me money and will have to refund me pretty sharpish or I will tart myself off elsewhere.

Step-gran has a bad head cold from one of the carers,  which as yet has not gone down onto her chest. She has nearly fallen twice, and has decided she is not going to even try to stand unless someone is stood next to her.  

She is playing the 'I can't go on like this, I can do nothing' song but will not go into a home.  She claims no homes in Ireland are taking people because of covid.  She tells lies, as long as it suits her to do so.  Manipulative old bat that she is.

I was talking to a friend in Italy and they're in the same boat with energy prices. It has to end somewhere,  just crazy.

I suppose so long as SG is being a manipulative old bat she's doing as well as can be expected, it's when she stops telling porkies to suit herself you need to worry.

So dull!! Same shops every week. Blah Blah Blah.  Wandered round a few c/shops this morning waiting to pick DS2 up from college. Went to the second hand warehouse to look at superking bed bases. They did not have any. Boo! Then my lovely coat pocket gave me £3.  So I have a little bit of 'fun money'.   Bought a bra in a c/s, looks brand new, brand is TV from Sainsbobs £2.  Uplifting!

 Diet going really well 4lbs in a week cannot be sniffed at.  Found more weight loss shake powder on appr0ved f00ds so bought enough to do me until June for less than £40.

Itsu  Miso soup  sachets are a total joy. One teaspoon of soy sauce in it makes it even better and it is less than 30 calories.

Kids regular savers accounts mature this month too, so will bung them £28 interest each and recycle the cash into savings.

DH just got his £61 cashback from The Tax Bods for wfh for last year (he forgot to fill in the form, Martin said do it quick as it might be pulled soon, so did this year's too, and will do next year as soon after 4th April as possible) Doesn't even cover printer paper and ink, but still, it is a contribution.

DH got paid his advance by his publishers, now he has to write the book    I, on the other hand,  need to buy a sack of potatoes.  How the other half live eh?

I have bit the bullet and spent just under £140 on a 40cm high metal framed bed base (so I can store things underneath (for that read DH's tat) in boxes).  It should be delivered next Friday at the latest. Just realised I need to buy bigger sheets

The men just delivered the mattress to the hall - they refused to take it up the 13 stairs as it was sold via Tbay, they were not sorry.

I lost 5lbs last week on the Shake, Shake, Food diet.  So I am totally motivated to carry on.  DS4 who was resembling P00h Bear around the middle has lost 2lbs just by cutting out his toast habit after school (I got him to sub it for a 10 cal jelly pot, a sugar free ch00pa Ch00ps lollipop,  and an 4ctimel shot just before bedtime). He is motivated to continue for another week.  He is still eating his knock-off c0c0 p0ps for breakfast, but with Almond milk instead of sweetened soya milk, and having a sausage roll, a can of diet pop, and a packet of (less than 100 cal) crisps for lunch, and his normal supper with a fruit based pudding. I am not starving him I  promise, I am just giving him a lower calorie option, and hoping he grows 3 inches overnight,  but he was a stone and a half heavier than his 14 month older brother, and that needed to stop before it became a habit. The fruitbowl is ready and prepared if he wants a snack. He gravitates towards carbs though.

Sunny day, load 3 of the laundry chronicles are on the line, DH is on strike next week, still have no idea what the 'mystery plant row' is in the planter outside.

Well done on the weight loss! I have stayed the same give or take a pound or 2 since last summer. I need to lose the last stone as I am stuck between a 14 and 12. Suppose I could just put a stone on!
Don’t worry about DS4, all 3 of mine went through a porky stage at 12 and DD is now a normal size whilst DS1 and 2 are super skinny. They just grow (some more than others, DS2 is 6’5”!) 

Sorry to hear about step gran, I am a carer and she reminds me of customers I have had in the past, as soon as they hit a certain age they become really belligerent!
