I was going to say that lots of foodbanks put on the website what they are short of at that time. Ours frequently says "no more beans please" for example.3

Before the covid one way system the supermarket I use had the collection point where you could access from both going in & out. I used to notice it & think I'll pick something up. Now it is on the way out so I forget. I should put it on my shopping list & I should see if the local one has a website asking for what they want. You can see how I got my name!

I have not abandoned you, fear not! Just been busy with DS1 and dragging him round c/shops so he now has a warmer coat, gloves, 2 hoodies, a waistcoat, a couple of fleece checked shirts, and a very suspicious coffee shop habit that he did not have when he left home.I have a new work wardrobe that came exclusively from the c/s. 2 pairs of black trousers, 4 white shirts, 2 pairs of shoes (soles look unworn), and it came in at sub £20. just. So going to have a trying on session in a minute, and decide I hate them all, but if they are going to pay me to wear them, then so be it. It is a costume. I am an actor playing a role. Good impression and all that.Lunch was miso noodle soup, and supper will be Cornish pasties. Pastry chilling in the fridge already. Might make scones for later as well.Picked up a couple of nice bits in The Wading Bird shop yesterday- 1nnocent oat milk at 69p a bottle, Alpr0 hazelnut ice cream tubs 2 for £1, the Oatly caramel swirl icecream - all the kids' and DH's favourite at £1 a tub.

He did, I let him once, but paid the second time (I only bought small ones
), but that gave me enough points to get a free one next time. `So that is 3 times this year I have been to C0sta-lot. Honestly would not be bothered if there was not a 4th but will no doubt get roped in when we go to look at the lightbulb festival in town next weekend.

A possible Christmas present for ds1 could be an insulated coffee cup or a coffee maker.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

That would involve forward planning. Not his strong suit. The insulated coffee cup is a good idea though. Actually I have quite a few in the pantry he could happily rob - it would see if he actually used one, and then I could get him a nice one if he did. Good plan @Baileys_Babe One will be deployed for my cup soup tomorrow, along with a water bottle I got 2 C-mases ago and have barely used (I do not feel the need to drink outside the house - I am a camel)He is going back on the coach this afternoon as he has face to face lectures tomorrow. I think he has just enjoyed not having to think about what to eat, and having to buy food in, or cooking it. We had him making broccoli in a garlic sauce one night, so he did just about earn his keep.
Will see him next at C-word I think. It is just over 4 weeks away. 4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

@f0xh0les i don't get this obsession with carrying water everywhere either. We never did it growing up and to date, I am yet to keel over from dehydration in the middle of a 1 mile walk somewhere. I don't do coffee out either unless with someone specifically (like a meet up today) or I'm out for a day's shopping and then might need a pit stop and feet up.
I suspect some of the people i see clutching water bottles as they navigate the weekly shop with sprogs in toe may actually be drinking gin though
