Not too bad thanks, stupid headache right in the middle of one eyebrow,  and I still can't taste much - can recognise sweet/salty but nothing else. Ho hum.

Just woke DH, poor love coughed all night and was horrified it was after 10 when I woke him (he is still residing in the upstairs double room) he has some stupid idea about teaching his seminar online at lunchtime.  He reckons he can fake being well for around 45 minutes.  The cough seems to be getting worse again.  DS2 was coughing again this morning as well.  They are both on day 8 so only 3 days to go until they are deemed to be fit to return to active duty. 

DS3 is still testing negative on the lateral flow, his PCR is arriving later on today and I am going to do it for him as I am not actually certain he is doing it properly.

Need to sew name tapes into pe kits but cannot find the stupid name tapes.  That is my task for the day - the hunt for the  Foxcubs name tapes.  Also washed their stupid blazers. Will stick another load on the line today.

It sounds as if you're making good use of the time, but try to rest - and keep your fluids/electrolytes up if you've got headaches.

Having just sat on a call with my boss who has the 'supercold' rather than Covid, I'd suggest that DH doesn't want to be coughing through his seminar. I started to wonder whether germs could be transmitted over the internet (apparently he was trying not to cough into the microphone  🤣).

In the strange and bizarre world of F0xh0les, today everything smells of vomit.   The only plus side is that I know it is all in my head. Every single breath smells of vomit.  Weird huh?

Totally blitzed the 3 top floor bedrooms, moved DS3 out of DS1s room, moved DH out of DS3s room, remade the beds, aired the rooms, replaced the contents of the drawers, sweated about 6 pints,  cleaned and cleared DS4s room, hoovered them all, and the stairs and landing, disinfected every surface, door knob, bannister, and light switch.

Totally knackered.  Did I mention everything smells of vomit?  It is my main overriding thought at the moment.

Did my last Covid antibody fingerprick blood test sample today - that will mess up their results! Does Covid thin the blood? Cos instead of it being a total faff, I was spurting claret all over the place and it just would not  stop! Filled the container in less than 60 seconds (the first time I was rubbish and took nearly an hour -so  I have improved greatly).  

Sent DS3 and DS4 off on a major adventure on the bus to go to school - DS4's isolation ended yesterday, and DS3 tested negative on his PCR and I am making them both test  on the LFT daily.  I sent them with £1 extra, and the bus ticket cost, yes, £1 more than it said on the website.  So yay me.  I will also now be able to get a job without having to worry about school run times, as long as they enjoy the experience, and nobody is traumatised,  and the bus runs every 15 minutes. 

I hope nothing in your day is as traumatic as phantom vomit smells.

@f0xh0les - it's a common symptom, probably worse than smelling cigarette smoke everywhere, better than smelling poo...

I hope the bus trip works out - fingers crossed for independence once you are recovered!

This second bout of covid is nowhere near as horrible and scary for me as the first was.  Luckily I have missed out on the cough,  I had to ventolin DH last night as he could not stop coughing and was getting scared.  2 x 2 puffs and he was much better.   Just in case anyone else has an old inhaler knocking around the  place and ends up with a tight chested wheezy patient.  That and a dose of anti-histamine had a remarkable result.  He had one large coughing fit during the night -he transferred back into my bed yesterday - but had a much better sleep and is quite a lot perkier today.   He still can't taste much, and says everything tastes weird anyway.   I can taste things but not smell them, he can smell things but not taste them - we are like Jack & Mrs Spratt.

Middle floor mostly cleaned and cleared and hoovered.

Fishy Rishi's budget was pretty boring.  Cannot believe they are reducing car fuel duty and UK flight taxes the week before COP26.  Cognitive dissonance? I should think so!

They are going to make us (as a country that is) look like total fools at COP26.  Not for the first or the last time they will be doing that!

This morning the vomit smell is gone! Hooray!   Sadly it has been replaced with a burnt smell, like burning hair. 

I did not mind the chlorine 'swimming pool nose' day, or  the dusty 'aeroplane air' day, but vomit and burning hair is just not on.

Like Bertie B0tts every flavoured beans, but only with the rubbish flavours.

The boys seem to be loving the whole new bus adventure.  So I have no reason not to pick up a job, at first for the festive period, and after that, who knows.

that sounds like a nightmare vis a vis the smell department, although with 4xDS I imagine things might have got fragrant from time to time, but not every breath

Chopping onions is like stabbing myself in the head with a needle,  

I have become onion-intolerant.

I ate a tiny bit of  raw spring onion, I screamed. 

This is ridiculous.
