So sorry to hear about your friend @f0xh0les, what a shock.
I guess putting a single post on FB is a 'simple' way to let as many people know as possible at one time without the family having the same conversation repeatedly. It's hard enough hearing news like that once but having to tell people multiple times when you're only coming to terms with it yourself is unbearable.  I guess as no one buys papers any longer, FB is the modern equivalent of the obituaries.

The only positive I can draw from the cruddy 'F.book' is that a friend of mine got to announce a serious condition on their terms this year.... rather than on the grape vine /  or gossips.

Lidl sell chocolate covered gingers, both milk and dark chocolate - they were on special offer in the run up to Christmas so you may have got those?  Very gingery.

So sorry to hear about your friend F0xh0les. I suspect that now we're without landlines, and mobile numbers can be changed quite easily, people assume it's better to break such news over social media than risk a chunk of friends being unaware until weeks or months later.

Do you remember when you brought the biscuits? Was it after Christmas? You might find that you mentioned them and where you purchased them in a previous post on this diary, you just need to work out how far back you need to look.

And if it was Lidl All Butter Deluxe cookies - they are on offer next weekend (there are choc covered ginger ones, and I can highly recommend the non-choc covered ginger ones through prev samplings)
