I bet your avocado-ness looks lush greent.I do know what you mean though, why the weight has to come off from the top down, and not from the bottom up, is just unfair. Now I fancy an avocado, which is just wrong,as the toad in the hole was lovely and although I am considering a little bit of something nice, maybe a hot chocolate later,? I should not be fantasizing about guacamole right now. I am full, I have a cup of tea, stop tempting me greent.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Did you hear? Parliament has just decided to work from home for another week to stop the spread of the virus, while sending the kids back to school. Ri-!!!!!!-u-lous!I am waiting on Headteacher's promised email to tell us about phase 1 of return to school (yrs 11/12/13) He last wrote on Xmas Eve Eve I think, to let us know there was no way logistically to get the kids tested before they came back to school, or even set up for the 1st day of school, so don't even ask.I guess he is waiting along with the rest of us to see what Rabbit is pulled out of the Hatt (Mankock) by Gavin (shut up and go away) Williamson. We will see whether the guidelines have shifted by the planned start of term. Whenever that may be. I do hope they do not put off the start date of term, as I think that may send me down to below 90% attendance for DS2 with their stupid attendance algorithm.Honestly, I would not trust this bunch of clowns to wash my (clown) car.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

How the mind works!! I started off thinking about how teachers are supposed to plan this thing, especially during a two week holiday period with 3 bank holidays & 4 week end days (forgetting that teachers are not allowed either) & via various random thoughts got to - why are we all paying to keep 625 MPs in luxury when we could (because of the "whip") actually get the same results from less than 63 MPs. After all now would be a good time to do it whilst the Houses of Parliament need all those repairs & they will have to move out anyway.

@badmemory - but think about it... how would people like Jacob Rees-Mogg get a job in the real world? We’re keeping them off the streets.9

Perfectly good youth hostel on Oxford Street, with cafe. Over 100 beds (just like boarding school) rent it for when parliament is sitting, book 90 days in advance and get a price reduction.
London MPs could go home to their families, Scots Nats will soon be free of the UK, Wales might go the same way, Ireland could be unified, and anyone in the North will have HS2/CrossNet or whatever they are calling it this week, and you can be in Leeds in 24 minutes.. or something. Buy them all a (standard class) train pass and a greggs loyalty card, and a clock in/ clock out swipe card with facial recognition so they can't get their mates to swipe them in when they are not there.
