Nobody is going to donate to save The  J-Dog,  Minister for the 18th Century, The  Right Hon Haunted Pencil.

Well so far DS4s school has sent a text to say school starts on 5th, no matter what govt says.

I think DS1 and 2 are in for 11th ( but it is an Academy so I think they can tell the govt to go swivel ( very technical academic term) so might be the  5th after all), and DS3 is being awful as he does not have to go back until 18th and so will have had 1 month solid off school by the time he has to return. 

Today has felt like a Sunday all day long, but I am at work all day tomorrow, so it must be Wednesday.  I have already had an email to say now that we are in Tier 4 I  will have to take many more precautions.  Well I have been taking all the flippin' precautions!  There is no  more danger to me tomorrow than there was on Monday, or the Thursday before. 

So ....... the kids are being rotten, I have sent the smaller 2 to bed, but it sounds like they are playing football or something up there, might be another pillow fight come to think of it.  I am sat in the living room with my candles lit, trying to find some calm.  DH is playing an online game with his friends. His hair is so long now he has taken to putting it into a  tiny ponytail.  Very cute.  Midlife crisis anyone?

The govt says: If you live in a Tier 4 area, you must not leave your home unless you have a reasonable excuse (for example, for work or education purposes). If you need to travel you should stay local – meaning avoiding travelling outside of your village, town or the part of a city where you live. 

Well I am not going to go shopping at my closest supermarket, as it honestly scares the bejesus out of me. Nobody in masks, too many people allowed in at a time,  getting far too close, narrow aisles,  huge queues for tills - so it is just not happening.  Will use the supermarket 2 minutes away from the boys' school and combine the shopping and school run.

Work is only 3 miles away, but in county not city area. So I have just shrunk my world to 3.5 miles.  Happy 2021.

School - Work- Food Shop.   So I am going to have to get DH out for a run in the park or I am going to go totally Anthea Turner. 

That is all the plan I have so far, but then I have only had 4 hours to think about it.

I've just checked a map the furthest I have travelled since March20 is 4 miles from my front door.

Don't worry about the supermarket run, and its always wise to avoid the great unwashed...if ever questioned you are simply following the responsible governless lead and testing your eye sight...

I think the world has shrunk for many of us this year. My usual supermarkets (T and A1d1) are just over a mile from my house (and conveniently over the road from each other), the CS I volunteer at is next to Mr T, DH now wfh 99.9% of the time (and even post pandemic will likely wfh a lot more and will not be going on stooopid trips to the US for  24hours there - or trips to the other side/ end of the UK for a 2hr meeting!), DD only goes out of the house when I suggest a walk (along the canal path - maybe 400m from our house) (until she starts her job - which is a whole <4miles away in the city centre), DS1 lives in his room >99% of the time (either here or at uni. The other 1% being kitchen or bathroom based time!)  DS2 has travelled the most as his school (when he can go!) is 15 miles away in the next town. DS3's school is 15 mins (max) walk away. The school I mostly work at is a couple of miles from home. I Glo'shire but even so......... !

My closest supermarket is 8 miles away but my preferred one is 15 miles in the opposite direction!  It's still within the same borough so that's where I will continue to shop - I might use more petrol to get there but I save far more using Li*l than that I'd spend in Mr Ts (although there are a few things I can't get at Li*l so need to go to Mr Ts sometimes).
