I have made a 100 square chart and broken the 'Present' debt down into 1% segments, so £4.30 each. I shunted money around tidying up my accounts and have managed nearly 6% from that, and another 2% from p/a is due to pay out. Lots of C0vid related stuff on there tonight. Might make my 10% by bedtime. No plans to spend anything until Thursday at the earliest. I have £5.50 on my
2Sh0p card ( free money) to spend in the Polar shop on things to make the kids happy. Will probably be lollies as the weather forecast is dire (for me) at 30 odd + degrees. Nothing will get done at that temperature.

well done with to the OH for the promotion - what an amazing achievement, he must be over the moon! Many years ago I worked at a Uni and the hurdles to pay progression were way out of my reach. Also well done to you for keeping up with the running. I regularly have to lie down after a run though usually a little later in the day as I totally run out of energy.MFW #69 Mortgage remaining Jan 2021 £221,644; Jan OP £1000;7

I found my very very cheap gps watch thing in a box while tidying last week, but the battery had corroded and it was a dead duck, even with a new battery, boo. Last night while dh was running an online game session for some friends, I went through my bedside drawer and refound my gardening knife (yay! Foxy with a flick knife!) and a very very cheap watch and heart rate monitor set s-i-l gave me about 5 years ago (free gift with a gym membership but she already had one). The battery was dead, so swapped it out with a spare and it is up and running! like me, tomorrow morning, up and running and aiming for minimum of 3km hoping for a 4km.Today has been a day full of annoyances, I unintentionally annoyed someone with a deep tan who wanted to know where I had been on holiday since she last saw me - I said nowhere, Le Shire has been in lockdown, - I think she had just come back from her hols, because I was blanked for the next couple of hours, Her shame, not mine. Lockdown breaker! Then I found a load of meat in the f/b boxes labelled as vegetarian, and a load of products with milk in, in the boxes marked as vegan. Now we do not get many custom orders for veggie / vegan / gf / pork free boxes, but we do get some every single week, and so I tend to keep a couple in stock and I tend to know the families and the adult/child demographic, and it is annoying when people come back and say there was xx in a box that should not contain xx. and then I wonder how on earth I could have done that when I have been so flippin' careful. Then I find a load of boxes made by other people that contain fish and ham that are labelled suitable for vegetarians (a fish is not a vegetable, and just because the ham is processed, it does not mean it is no longer meat), and a load of tinned custard and marshmallows in the boxes marked vegan. It is not rocket science. Putting a tin of chick peas into a box does not make the meat disappear! If you don't understand the food rules, stick to the normal meat containing boxes. I do not do request boxes for diabetics, because I do not know where to begin. We have a volunteer with a diabetic family member, and she understands the slow release carbs rules - I do not, I stay away from it. I am now going to have to go through the 'special' boxes to make sure they are not contaminated with nonsense - I opened 6 today and every single one was wrong and some looked like a punishment, rather than a 3 day supply of food. So that was double annoying. Then I came home and the kids are whiney and bickering (it is the heat and knowing school will resume soon) and want to eat everything that has ever existed. While toasting pittas the rcb tripped, which confused me, until I realised the kettle did not work either. I was nearly out the door to buy a new toaster! Anyway, switch flipped and normal service was resumed. I could not be bothered with cooking tonight. DH made them a lovely curry and rice for lunch, so supper was sausages and pittas with the choice of ketchup or mustard. You would have thought I had suggested they eat their own feet. They are utterly spoilt. 'Is this it??' was the cry that went up. 'Yes', was the reply, 'unless you have made something for everybody else to enjoy while dh and I was out at work?' So they stuffed themselves on biscuits afterwards as an act of rebellion. There are only 8 sausages left in the building and I am not feeling in the slightest bit anxious (yet).I am currently on 20% saved for dh's armchair fund. I am going to walk down to the hospice furniture shop in the morning, and if I do not find a wooden bed frame, then I will go and spend £5 on tofu, and then will sweep all the money left over from this week's food budget into the armchair fund.I am doing a cupboard/freezer inventory tonight, and a meal plan. I have been stuck on 12.4 for a week, so that is due to drop as long as I do not start eating the wallpaper as well as everything else. Watched Michael M0sely's lose a stone in 21 days last night. I think I need to reduce my carbs a bit, they are sneaking back in to nearly every meal. I am aware of what I am eating, which is a good thing, but this heat is just making me want to snooze. Might have something to do with the 5 squad cars, the road block, the riot van, and the 8 chatting police officers who decided to set up the road block outside my house just after 3am for an hour, and shine torches through all the ground and first floor windows. All because some silly girls got drunk and were driving about trying to find their mate's house by bellowing her name while driving up and down the road. I managed to sleep through the drunk girlies shouting, but the sound of a paddy wagon door closing would wake me from the dead. I swear police vehicles sound different to my sleeping brain. Anyway, they shot off about 4ish, and then the foxes started as they wanted to reclaim the street from the smell of the law. Urgh!I can't even sleep-in in the morning as it is going to be 32-34 degrees here tomorrow, and so it is going to be an early run, or no run. I am going for 'the early run'. So it is an early night for me. I have a list and a plan, I just have to follow it through. I think my motivation just fell off though...4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Well I am going to have to put myself down as a 'no run' today. It was sweltering at 7am already and dh did not come down until nearly 9.30.I did the meter readings (all down on last month - hooray!) I am still 12.4 and feeling absolutely awful today. Kitchen cleaned and washing up done already. Washing machine on and finished, still to be put on the line. It will dry in half an hour.Last night turned into a migraine. Cheers for that! Love pins and needles inside my head. Glad it very rarely happens, but always coincides with TOTM. So I will walk up to the tofu shop in half an hour, and pop into the hospice shop on the way back, and then hide under my rock, away from the dangerous ball of uv radiation in the sky. We have jubblies in the freezer. Oh, and in corrections and clarifications, I have 14 sausages in the house, not 8 - still not panicking4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I am a sausage-free household. None left. Not a sausage! and the diet has gone really well today. I am not hungry at all.Breakfast was a bowl of fruit salad, lunch was a cup soup (the rest of the house had sausage sandwiches and hummus pittas) supper was oven baked tofu (rubbed with soy sauce and miso) aubergines and peppers (the rest of the house had it with singapore style noodles and crushed peanuts) and a fruit salad. Well, not sure if you can call it a fruit salad, I had an enormous amount of ys strawberries, a ys mango and a full price (less than a pound) pineapple that I cut up and left in the fridge for 6 hours. The strawberries and pineapple released their juices and made a lovely sauce - who knew? Anyway it was lush, and I have a bowl left over for breakfast, and did I mention I am not feeling hungry at all?Tomorrow dh is attacking the monster watermelon, and that with mint and lime juice (I still have 10 ys limes) will do a lovely cold treat. I think I will make them some pasties (Herr Ron has 3 for £1 on ready rolled pastry packs) and we have enough portions of leftovers in the fridge to only cook once during this ridiculously hot weather. It is still going to be 22 degrees here at 10pm tonight, and tomorrow is 18 degrees at 6am. I am planning on heading out early for a run. I have been annoyed with myself all day, but honestly there is no way on this planet I could have managed to run this morning without passing out or embarrassing myself. Just one of those things. If I get out of bed and it is horrendous already, then I will focus on drinking water and eating well. It should be warm (26 degrees) but raining on Sunday - I can run in that and love it.The armchair fund is currently at 30% (shhhh! it is still a secret) and I have £30 left in the weekly budget with nothing that is urgently needed, so hoping that can be shunted on to it as well. No doubt dh will suddenly need gold dust flecked sesame oil or some such, but if it is not on my meal plan, then he can fiddle off. It will be bought on Monday.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Thanks greent. He is still oblivious to his gift. I will of course get him to guess what it is when they arrive (is it a kitten?)So, I decided at 7am it was too hot to bother with the run (very disturbed sleep with drunk people and boy racers chasing girl racers). Then 7.30 decided I was definitely not going, and at 8, it was not happening, so got up at 8.45 and dh looked at me with a sad face and said, oh, we are not running then? So we were out running at 9am, I did 3km, it took 24 minutes, I did mention to him that I remember a time when getting hot sweaty and breathless with him was a lot more enjoyable, and lasted longer, and did not leave me feeling sick. He said he was too old for that sort of thing! Anyway, I was 12.3 before the run (yay! after one day of 'solo dieting') and 12.2 afterward. Got to love dehydration! Then I checked the roofbox which would catch water if it should rain (empty) in the bathroom roof space, and then went to look in the main roof space on the top floor, and you know it is a pretty decent space in there, it just needs boarding out and a ladder putting in which would solve every one of the storage problems we have. So I need to think if I am going to go with a fully pressurized water system and shiny new combi boiler, with a new set of pipeage, which would mean I could remove the water tanks up there (gravity fed water system) and turn it into a storage space, or, as DS1 wants, a mezanine level for his bedroom - yeah, not happening, but it needs boarding in the very near future and a fixed ladder and hatch. DH just wanders away shaking his head like a womble. He did in the last house as well, but he loved having his hatch/ladder combo when I had it done. So, I dragged my bum out the door, strapped on an extra 400m to bring me up to 3k. Posted my spy post, moved some money about = 31% of the chair fund. £9.99 knocked off the mortgage. £2.50 pending on p/a and £30 pending on cashback site for the house insurance last week.Lists made, ideas had, lunch is many portions of leftovers, with naan and couscous for them, and a cup soup for me.Tonight I think is pasties for them, beef (ish) slices and broccoli in miso soup for me. Fruit salad and meringues. Now I need to ponder the benefits of scooby-doo style hidden doorways and loft hatches.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

It is indeed too hot F0xh0les I met my friend for run at 8am this morning and we (well i more than her) struggled with the heat even then.
Where are the celebratory chairs from? I have am mental image and wonder if I'm right.
Seems to have cooled off a bit since yesterday but still hot and muggy. Was planning to go out and pick some blackberries but currently all I've done is flop about the place.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
