Ooops. sorry, non-essential shops are still not allowed to reopen until 24th at the earliest.  

No more than 6 people can gather - outside at 2m distance. 

We are being told to stay home, only leave for essential shopping and to go to work if we can't work from home.

Don't leave the plague zone, don't enter the plague zone, except for the essential shopping or working.

Woke at 4.55 and had a massive coughing fit and itchy eyes. It work me up! Stupid pollen.  Managed to get back to sleep and was forced from my bed at 7 by an evil sneezing fit.  Rotten headache all day. 

Lunch was Sausages and beans on toast.  Supper was hummus and pittas and salad - could honestly not be bothered with it all today.  Walked the 2 smallest out again for an hour and 20 minutes, fiendishly hot out.  They rode their bikes about a bit   Will try and take them out again tomorrow.   DH has plans for aubergine fatteh again.  It would be  so nice to come home to, for lunch.

The schools still start the Wednesday before the August Bank Hols  (except not this year due to social distancing the secondary schools all start afterwards), and the fortnight is still the first two weeks of July.

11 o'clock and apart from 2 cups of coffee I have achieved nothing, in general, and precisely nothing at all, if we are being specific.

Doing my TA exercises has resulted in a muscle ache around my lower back which is quite exciting.  Love an exercise you can do sitting on a sofa, or while waiting for the kettle to boil.  Pull your belly button back into your spine, hold for a slow count of 3 (while still breathing) release. x 10 Easy Peasy.  If it aches it is working.

DH is wandering around the house muttering ' what has he done with his _______', and 'where would I have put my _______'.  He is off out to buy yoghurt.  It seems like he needs to prepare for a 3 day expedition.  It has taken longer to pack his bag to go than it will take to ride there and back.  Oh well, he has to pass the time as well.

Need to get on with things but motivation level is currently on ZERO.  Need to get off my bum and do things. Urgh!

I also have zero motivation. I'm exhausted, the kids were playing musical beds here last night though so I've not slept nearly as much as I would have liked.

Another one here that has done absolutely sweet fa today unless you call sitting on my bum reading doing anything. Didn't really sleep great last night and have just felt generally lethargic all day.

Ended up doing a mammoth nearly  5 hour RISK game with 2 of the kids, DH got bored with it after about an hour, by hour 3 I was trying to get myself out, but eventually DS1 won.  Never play Risk without the cease fire card unless you want your entire afternoon wasted.

So nothing got done, people got fed, and games were played. Time passed.  The end.

How was dh's excursion to get yoghurt? That must have been a thrilling game of risk for him...?!

My 2nd year A level boy starts back on the Wednesday before the BH.  I think they have just phased things and it depends on the school (county rather than city for him).  Normally its teacher training days and the first day after the bank holiday.  

@Baileys_Babe in my 'drop out years' I worked in a second hand book shop in the city centre, and remember the first fortnight as July fortnight too.

Hi @f0xh0les I'm another who has spent the last couple of weeks or so reading through you're diary.  You seem to get so much done everyday, although that doesn't seem to be the case today, LOL!  You make me feel tired just reading it all.

You have a great writing style and I've really enjoyed reading.  I have subscribed so will see your updates
