Had a great productive day yesterday, potted on (and put out) the last few tomatoes, cukes and courgettes, used up all the compost and pots I have left. Used up all the aubergines in a lovely sticky soy aubergine bake thing, made a coconut rice pudding, everything was going swimmingly, then I just got too hot. It was sweltering here last night. So muggy. Awfully thirsty, drank masses of water, then threw up at 11.30pm - I think I just overheated. Everyone else is totally fine, so it was not the food. Just one of those things. Nevermind. Lucky old me.So it rained about 3am, the birds started just before 4am ' yay! we survived another night! yay!' , I think the magpie got too close to The Blackbirds and their nest, so they were yelling at each other at 5am for absolutely ages, boundary disputes between neighbours.I got up at 7. Then it rained again at 8 and it has not really stopped. I am wearing a frock. It is quite dark, and gloomy, but the heat is increasing, I can feel it. Did a load of laundry, will stick it out when it looks a little less grey.Breakfast was 30g coco-pops, lunch is leftover orzotto ( only 2 portions), or home made hummus and pittas and salad.Supper is stirfried veg and a fruit salad (not together). The fridge has been cleaned and will be cleared in preparation for ys shopping on Monday. It is mostly full of condiments, fizzy water, 0cal lemonade and a few veg for tonight's stirfry, plus the makings of 2 days worth of salads and a coleslaw. Tomorrow's supper will be a saag aloo (I got ys bags of fresh spinach, so they go straight into the freezer) and rice and mango chutney. Possibly onions may be bhaji'ed.M-i-L sent a parcel of nearly ood chocolates from a well known website this week. DS1 ate his rose creams with a spoon. Everything is melted into a blob. I have put it into the fridge so now if anyone wants some chocolate they will have to hack a lump off with a knife or I will use the raspberry chocolate squished bars to make puff pastry mock pain-au-chocolat style pastries to throw at the kids as crowd control.Roll on Tuesday payday! I only have £25 left in the budget and the pantry and the fridge are running down alarmingly. By that I mean I only have enough pasta for 3 meals (for 6 people) and am down to the last tin of passata. The only real foodstuff in the freezer is chocolate ice cream with red berries. I am hoping I will not have to shop at all until Monday.I signed up DS2 (the lazy oik) to an in-school 2 hour history session for the next 2 weeks on a Wednesday, so the school run is now 5 days a week. Only Monday is totally mad backwards and forwards on the same stretch of road, I think 5 times. One day a week I can cope with. I can fit in the odd little shops for 2 or 3 items in the 30 minutes of dead time between pickups.Soon it will be scrumping season.

sorry to hear you were unwell F0xh0les, it is still terribly muggy, we got rain around the same time as you albeit we're daaaaawwwnnn souffffff (well south east) but its not really cleared the air much today.
I thought of you when i bagged 2 bags of noodles, 2 bags of Mediterranean veg and a bag of maris piper spuds for under £1. Noodles and veg separated and bagged to make 4 portions of each for the feeezer (veg needed a little rinse as they were suffering from being bagged iykwim) and spuds should last a good while, even one big enough for a baked potato.
Wish i had some veg growing this year. The one bean plant that actually sprouted grew sideways...then got eaten by a slug 🙈 perhaps next year.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I'm pleased you said it wasn't the food because I was definitely about to blame the aubergines...
Seriously though, pleased you're ok.

@kerri_gt well done on the ys nabbing. I am going tomorrow night. I shall think of you too if I get a good haul!I have made my 2 stone weight loss goal this morning. Currently 12.4. I did manage to eat yesterday, although I spent quite a while on the sofa being a bit dizzy, not enough to not bother hoovering the lounge or fixing a bit of stitching on a garden chair, but I think it might have been headache related as I got so sick of it around 4pm I popped a couple of panad0l and it went away in about 10 seconds flat. Duh! I don't often take anything other than anti-histi's so I don't think of taking them. DH made a lovely Katsu curry for supper as that was what he fancied and I really could not have given a t0ss either way.So got up this morning, weighed myself, danced around in the bathroom a bit, had breakfast and stuck out the load of washing I did last night, put on another load, and danced around the kitchen a bit. Watched the politics, hoovered the whole of the ground floor (I did a really bad job of the lounge yesterday!) then mopped all the floors that are tiled, made the puff raspberry chocolate creations for the kids (really, I made 4 and was fine with it) got a hanging rail out of the shed, found a shelving unit in there as well, found all the fixings for them, found a shelf strip (that you put those shelving brackets into) that I think I can use in the house in a place which keeps getting stuff dumped there. I finally put the air beds back in the shed, did the recycling, made the tea, ran upstairs for a quick bath, shave, and shampoo, drank my tea and then dh said it was nearly lunchtime, so found a bike in the shed with a flat tyre and wheeled it through the patio doors to the back room. So hopefully we will be able to bodge a working bike out of the 2 which are not working. One I think only has a flat, the other has a stretched chain and dodgy brakes. Hoping just swapping out a wheel will make one rideable because I want to take the kids out on their bikes with me when I start to exercise again.Which means I need to remember to buy sunblock.I have just been through the last 2 months' bank statements, and I am coming in at around £76 a week on the supermarket ( food/ toiletries / cleaning stuff) shopping for all of us. So £13 each. Not too shoddy.I am sat on the sofa wearing a strappy top and a pair of Daisy Dukes which are a size 14. It is not a pretty sight, but it is comfortable, and I am quite impressed with myself. I mean I would not answer the door in them, but they are not cutting off circulation to anything. If I am going to overheat, I need to be able to wear less. They are definitely less.I have refound the pile of stuff I was about to list for selling or gifting or tipping, and have piled it all up in the hall again. Will get on with that next week. So all in all I have done quite a bit off my list today, and I have written a list of things to do up until July 1st. Trying to get into a bit of a routine for when school ends on 10th July. I was annoyed by the school run last week, but secretly I quite liked the routine, just not my kids being late and forgetting their kit .Next weight loss target is 12,2 (30 loss) and then 12.0 as that means just over 1 stone left to go, plus nearly the next stone bracket down. If I aim for 1lb a week then that will be happening toward the end of July, although with adding the exercise I am hoping for much sooner.I am knackered today though. Stopped reading around 12. Got woken up pretty much every 15 minutes by drunk people walking past the house arguing, I mean not 15 minutes went by without a group going past shouting loudly until 3.30am. Proper nutcases out last night. I can only think that some pubs were open, as somewhere between 1 and 2 am it was proper busy on the street, then some nutters decided it was a good time to race up and down the main road. One woman was so annoyed by the person she was with, she started accosting a wheelie bin in the street and slapping and punching it, telling the man she would hit him if he did not shut up. The wheelie bin violator woke The Blackbird family, who started singing, but after all that nonsense all night, I was quite happy they felt like singing, although she might just have been screaming abuse at the woman who woke her nest-babies up.I think we may have to sleep with the windows closed tonight, or I will not be in any fit state to do the school run in the morning.Mind you, I have done most of what is on my list for today, I can always have a snooze on the sofa this afternoon.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

When did people get so noisy & rude? I remember when coming home slightly the worst for wear that someone would be saying (probably in a stage whisper) sh don't disturb the neighbours. Admittedly this was a very (yes very) long time ago.

I always got giggly drunk, not screaming abuse and assaulting street furniture drunk. Possibly the odd ' Byyyeeee!' when one of us got to their house, but nothing like the shouty ranty fighty behaviour. But then again I am an amorous drunkard.

See the school run is short lived for you as assume you’re in the lockdown area?Hopefully stop the drunkards waking you this weekend if no pubs can open. Although they may still sneak in to people’s gardens.Have an appointment later in part of the city that’s gone in to lockdown so will have to call this morning to check they are open. I would hope so as they were during t’other lockdown as it’s essential.Stay safe and hope the bigger boys are cooperative with their schoolwork now it’ll be back at home for a week and a bit!4
