Last night's dream involved me breaking Meghan out of Buckingham Palace where she was being held hostage as a brood mare for the perpetuation of the Royal bloodline. I left her in a pub in Chislehurst.

RSPB reserve Bempton cliffs is another good place to see puffins and no need for a boat trip.

I’m a little concerned that some of next door’s cannabis residue is leaking into your bedroom at night!

If you bought next door you’d need a budget for doing it up, so DH would have to agree to spend money (he’d have to spend to buy it too) but I bet you’d do a fantastic job. B&B is tempting, but your family would have to learn to be lower down your priorities... plus you’d have no excuses not to have the in-laws staying. Flipping is a better option!

As the men in your life don’t appreciate or even notice what you do to the house, i’d see that as permission to do it exactly as you like and not worry about their preferences

I think Flamborough / Bempton Cliffs is the closest to us. I will see a puffin this year.....

That would make such a good film. Although I think IRL Kate already has that job. Not quite sure the hollywood ending would be in Chislehurst

My friend who is a PhD in zoology is convinced that Puffins are Pigeons dressed up in clownsuits. His theory is evidenced by the fact that you never see Pigeons and Puffins together

Well hello!
I have been getting increasingly frustrated with sewing machines, but I am getting there and that is the main thing.

This morning I decided to go out into the back yard for a purpose which is not to put washing on the line. I scraped the moss off the tops of the pots where the plants have survived, made a large pot into a compost pile, relocated my mint bed into a bigger planter, cleared a whole pile of mess, put a lot of the rubbish into the bin, and have cleared and swept all but about 1/20th of the yard. So it is all looking quite good out there now.

Spent a £5 voucher in Mr M's shopping emporium, only a very small spend on top - 50p first to get the voucher, and then an extra £4 on top as I needed stain remover (which has not removed the stain) and cordial for the kids. I think the stain must be factor lead suntan lotion, it just appeared on a dress of mine that I have not worn in ages and ages, so I thought maybe it was a sweat stain (yuck) but I bought this special product and it has not made a dent in it, so I fear it is the sun cream. And that don't come out for nobody. But it is in such an odd place. Oh well, I can always cut the bodice off and fashion a waistband for it and turn it into a skirt for summer instead. Shame, cos it was a nice dress.

All laundry done and either on the line or folded and ready to go back to its owner. Supper is made (vegetable stew) only dumplings to make later on.

I have no inclination to swear at sewing machines today, after spending yesterday doing so.

So I think I am going to chill for the rest of the afternoon and think about dieting.

Did another hour in the yard this morning after the school run. Lots more stuff cleared, I have less than a metre square to do to finish it. One thing there is a pallet I rescued and will use the wood to make a planter.

So I am very happy with my little achievement.

Still have nothing in the diary to look forward to.

I am going to have a long hot soak in the bath when the kids get home from school.

Got another 4000 points on a £40 spend voucher today. So will stock up on Friday - I can store 30 litres of soy milk in the pantry. I am getting through about 15 litres a week as it is. All worth it for my free £5 voucher.

I have not sown any of my seeds. I might do it tomorrow.

Needless to say, nobody has noticed the yard being clean and cleared. I am loving being able to hang laundry on the line and bringing it in dry. The energy bill will be a lot lower this month because of it... it will be handy, as the council tax is rising.

I don't need to buy anything, I have all I need for supper tonight and lunchboxes tomorrow. Car is full of petrol, everything is within budget, two thirds of the way through March, everything is going well.

So enjoy the sunshine while it lasts.
