So what? That's like saying he'll take his ball home if he can't be captain! The point remains valid, that in seeking not to offend people who weren't being offended anyway, he made it a lot worse by tinkering with it and using perjorative terms. He then claimed to be annoyed that anyone dared to object, but then bowed to the objections.

Of course I am thick skinned enough for names not to bother me. Anyone should realise that. I really don't care if people disagree with my views, but if they want to argue they should put their case properly. People who cannot do that just go on the 'ignore' list, they are not worth bothering with.

For the hard of thinking, I was demonstratng the madness (oops!) of PC by proxy. It was just a can of worms. It is interesting that 2 people out of 167 were 'offended' by the original names, and most were critical of the new ones for the reasons I stated. Yet as soon as Martin waded in, the sycophancy was incredible. Not my style though. I thought he was wrong and said so, whoever he might be. One thing I am not is a hypocrite!

If Martin thinks I have been unfair to him he can PM me and I will discuss it in private. Otherwise, I have stated my case and shall not comment further on it.

People have argued against you properly in the past, as you request; you have fabricated black propaganda about gypsies, mobile phones, and plenty of other subjects.

Incitement of hatred is against the rules of this site, but that rarely restrains you, and subsequently attacking ML personally and frequently his abuse team for censorship in the grip of loony-left political correctness is hardly likely to support your challenge to continue discussion by PM.
