Truly, and literally, political correctness gone MAD!    :mad:MrSmartprice wrote: »The terms 'nerd' and 'geek' are far more insulting and disparaging. MrsS administers a large e-mail system for a huge local authority, with many thousands of users. When I mentioned this she informed me that 'geek' (which you now call me) is an insult which is actually filtered out by the system she administers. The definition she gave me was along the lines of an earlier poster, and I am now more annoyed than before. What have us regular users done to upset you and to deserve this lack of respect? No wonder you've given up smoking. :rotfl: :rotfl:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

You are not infallible, Martin. You have got this badly wrong. Why not just put your hands up to it, do the decent thing and put it right?[/quote]
I'm really sorry and i know i'll get leapt on for saying this but isn't that just a little bit excessive regarding what was i'm sure intended as a light hearted name change. Do you really think martin or mse towers intended for this to get so out of hand?
I said that it was mad to change the names as people may be offended, but making the poor guy sound like the equivalent of a raving fraudster i can understand his frustration!
I'm sure MSE intended the name changes to be light hearted and didn't realise it would be taken badly, they have rectified the situation and hopefully thats the end of it, but lets put this in the real world, it's a user name, it's not as if martin gave a money saving tip and lost people thousands now is it. now that WOULD be bad!:eek:debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0
