I don't tell lies (perhaps you do) and have no time for doubters like you. Enjoy your life.

Judges are present in all courts. Technically you just made a court claim - after the 14 days had passed a judge would have assessed it and either allocated it to a track (ie small claims, high court etc) if it was being defended or made a default judgement if it was not.
I think you're being too defensive in your postings here. People are just basically pointing out that while you might have started legal/court proceedings, you technically haven't taken them to court iyswim.
Not that it makes a blind bit of difference to you - you've got a satisfactory outcome so alls well and good. But it may make a difference to anyone in future reading this thread. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

You're absolutely right and thank you. I am hostile because I am not a liar. I did mention small claims court but I accept I could have made it clearer. What I really wanted people to understand is just because the companies put a restriction on, or state their terms and conditions, it doesn't mean it's morally accepting and worth challenging. I wasn't out to make a profit from JDS I just wanted the cards to be validated as they didn't carry an expiry date on them. If it was a less specialised shop I may have accepted vouchers. This was specifically for a purchase for my son and not my choice of clothing. I was really taking this forward on behalf of a minor too.0
