Who knows, Kim, and who cares? He seems to have no grasp on reality full stop. More to the point, what are you doing on this thread when you could be on your diary where, most of the time, people are cool? Coming?0

Such a shame that Margaret Thatcher sold off council housing for such a cheap price. This is the result - too few houses for people who really need them.0

Baby boy is here and well, I am totally in love- going home ASAP to meet his siblings. X with regards to the house, I'm viewing 2 properties this coming week and will be viewing houses every day if I can until I can fine someone to consider us.
Congratulations, and I hope you get your housing sorted out soon x(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -

Or maybe spend some precious time with a newborn as opposed to chit chat to strangers on tinternet.Just a single mum, working full time, bit of a nutcase, but mostly sensible, wanting to be Mortgage free by 2035 or less!0

It's called stress relief JonB when in a very difficult situation with little help. Been there, done it and I KNOW at times this site kept me going. Without it, I doubt I'd be here.0

Gee, deannatrois, I thought I was sad!
I, and I am sure, many other people are very glad you are still here. You are a great help to many people, unlike randoms who think they are in a position to tell a new mother, who already has seven wonderful children, how to care for her newborn. I guess some men just can't get their heads around multi-tasking, huh? I still am not very sure this thread is particularly suited to stress relief, though but it's Kim's call.

I think, as with life, you just have to ignore those that aren't able/willing to contribute or help, just vent lol. There are people on here who will try to help!
There have been times when I've been jumped on on MSE which can make you feel more down than you were already, so I just go away for a few days and come back when I'm ready.
And don't worry, I was referring to a time when I was imminently homeless and things were more difficult than usual, not now.
I hope and feel sure Kimplus that you will be able to find an alternative to social housing. Its never easy but you just need to find one LL to say yes. As you are working, you should be able to. My problem was being benefit dependent and living in an area where private rentals are much higher than LHA but unable to move out of the area. Before that happened I was able to find the odd LL who would take me on even without a guarantor (always had bank statements to show I paid my rent and bills on time regardless). Although its an uncertain time, and that's not good with a new baby and lots to do anyway, you do have some time. I don't think you've been served a S21 yet?
Have a chat with your LL and see if you find a property, if they will release you from your tenancy with shorter than usual notice so you get some of the money you paid upfront back. Obviously it will be better for everyone if they do agree, but they don't have to.
Wishing you well Kimplus.0
