Morning all. Can't remember much of what any of you have said after reading FBO's post. Enjoy the party.

I'm not tackling any room this morning as I had another lie in so will just start the paid stuff soon. Have done the dailies, but can't take LittleyDog out yet as it's been pouring with rain all morning. Will take a tea break later if its dry.

    Have a great day everyone.

I'll be doing the room of doom ( dining room) today- it seems to be a target area in our house for everyone to just plonk their junk!

Morning. Funeral went as well as these things can though I feel drained today. Great turnout and lots of laughs as well as the tears.

Going away tomorrow for a long weekend though :D

Got out final details through for Sept holiday.....it's a biggie in a land with lots of lemurs. Nearly as cute as sloths. So lots more organising I need to do.

Oooh, I'm gonig there with Guiding in April (well, I'm assuming it's the same place!!) so may be in touch for any useful info.

Ratties are now called Sixpence and Sovereign (I think!) These are the 3rd or 4th names for each of them but I'm leaning more towards these and they do need names!

Right - WM has finished so need to sort it ................

    Morning all

I was about to reply and got interrupted by a phonecall so now I've forgotten what I was going to say :o So Hugs spoons vibes to all.

Grabbing the list and DD and I are going to work our way through them all. First job for her is the ironing as laundry is taking over the livingroom. I'm going to finish my winter list. I got up to page 16 of the thread last night so only another 11 to go through.

    Monday - Living Room Loveliness
    Level 1
    Empty any bins.
Give the cushions a good plumping.
Remove anything that doesn't live here.
With a damp cloth wipe remotes, lights switches and the bit just above and below the door handles, where sticky fingers leave residues.
    Level Two
Lift sofa cushions, swap around if you can and vacuum all those crevices
Dust everywhere - check for cobwebs!
    Level Three
Move all the furniture you can and vacuum
    Extras
How's the winter prep coming along? Are all your gloves, hats and scarves washed?
And school prep - label any uniform!

Tip Top Tuesday - bathroom bliss

  • Hello everyone!

I'm back from our few days in the caravan. Weather was lovely, we cooked out but now it's back to flying. I've read all the thread, but not retained much, it's all a blur. Anyway, much needs to be done, I'm not back at work until Monday and I need decorate! As well as sort out all the holiday stuff.

Frodders glad the funeral went OK, and ATB thinking of you x

Valli thanks for the thread, and glad your sister seems to be feeling better despite silly men in the hospital.

Right. I've done nothing. OH and I drank too much fizzy pop last night to round off the holiday, and I now have a headache.

    So, plan for today.

We are about to sit down to a rather early dinner - football soon...

Just been on the phone to our old swimming instructor - we can't do weekend lessons any more due to dancing and football but he's doing a 5 day intensive course next week so I've booked little moo on. He said we'll try her with stage 4  but she can always go back one if its too much of a challenge.

DS football thing was cancelled as not enough bookings, but they've moved him onto a mixed sport one which is at our school so he's not too upset - he might enjoy trying other ones.

And I've got my enrolment session through for college. So we're all set for next week!

While I was cooking, kiddies have made the house into a home alone set, with booby traps all over the bloomin place. [STRIKE]We[/STRIKE] they need to sort these out before we leave!

I got the hall, stairs and landing cleaned, stuff I'm keeping (knomaire house ATM) I've put back in the attic.. so doesn't look like a dumping ground anymore... decided against doing the bedroom as the ex doesn't tidy his stuff and he's got crap over his side of the room, so will do a deep clean when he leaves next month.
