I never got round to the conservatory and I ain't starting now...
But I've filled and set the DW going and the kitchen is immaculate. Kiddies rooms are untidy again after yesterday's tidying - gah!
DS made me laugh - toward the end of football I shouted him and said "get tackling, fella!" as he was holding back - he was so annoyed he got his boot right in and won the ball lol. On the way home I said it was great, his coach wants more of that. He said "I wasn't cross enough before, next time when we are driving there will you call me a baby and a moody Margaret, and make me really cross? Then I play better" :rotfl:
I asked them tonight what they think of these school holidays with mum not having to go to work and they both shouted "good" at the same time.

DD has finished the ironing, decluttered a few programmes from the dvr, throws are back on the sofas, last deliveries are made for work, my winter prep list has grown slightly, I've made tea (home made crinkle cut oven chips with chicken and beans  ) and done some knitting. There's also been decluttering/tidying up but not much in the way of cleaning.
I'm going to carry on with my list making and knitting as I'm almost at the end of the thread now and still haven't found the list I posted on it :rotfl: Tomorrow we'll have to shift ourselves into town to run a couple of errands and I'm taking my daughter p0kemon hunting as well as we're both out of p0keballs :rotfl: Not sure what else we're going to get up to as Ex is away atm so DD is with me all weekend.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Had a lovely day out today - it was an enormous pleasure and great fun to meet up with Dizzy Imp, Small and Tiny.
Meanwhile DH went on a heritage railway as a paying passenger. He also enjoyed his day very much.
I am now officially shattered and am unlikely to stay up beyond 10.00 pm!
ETA Froddy - Glad you were able to share happy memories of Great-Aunty
ATB - sending you (((hugs))) and coping vibes for tomorrow.

Evening all
I'm just loving the Olympics and totally agree about how super the graphics are on the trailersMakes one wonder why most of the adverts on the other channels are so carp.
THURSDAY THRILLS THE ROOM OF DOOM
Pick - a neglected room, a porch, a conservatory, utility room, study, office, your bedroom (because you deserve a haven)
I cleaned the porch and the balcony. Swept down the walls and ledges and all the 'furniture'. We have artificial green 'grass' matting in both, which looks lovely when clean but bits and fluff stick like glue, so took a while to clean that. Then washed the frames and ledges, banged the mats out and replaced. Watered the boxes and planters.

Watched lots of olympics.
Finished tax return :j although this year I owe them money; however not as much as I'd feared.
Went to Body Balance.
Filled bird feeders.
Watered greenhouse and hanging baskets.
er, afraid that's it. Unlikely to improve much tomorrow as I've got to go to town to pick up my new glasses, wait for Mr N to come back from the GP then we're off down to stay with his brother in the New Forest for the weekend. Sadly that means the dressage to music will probably be on while we're somewhere on the M3  Saturday I'm going to see my mum and do any jobs she needs doing; sounds like her ankle/foot is doing very well but she isn't allowed to drive for a while so I think it will be a morning at L1d1 then some gardening.
Have a good weekend everyone, as much as you can where appropriate.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Can't keep up with Fred again. Busy clearing hotspots, this current one is from the attic so, technically, THE ATTIC, Valli. I might end up with a patchwork quilt to give to the departing lodger who has been lovely company for eight months. Two birds - another lump of stuff out of the house to a good home, and she gets something she really likes. Excellent.
As to this ...Not v. impressed by a fellow visitor at the hospital - who decided to ignore the gender signage on the ladies loo - and the signage saying patients only - and the signage saying WHY the toilet was for patients only - on the oncology unit, where many of the patients will have chemically-compromised immune systems. !!!!!! HE was visiting a cancer patient (possibly his son) and chose to COMPLETELY disregard the multitude of notices saying the toilets were for patients only and explaining why.
A word was had...
When I worked in the complaints department at our hospital we received one once from someone who complained about the lack of food on the ward where his wife was a patient. Turned out he'd been eating the sandwiches that she'd ordered for her evening meal (because, he said, she wasn't hungry) and the staff had stopped letting him have them!
I hope your sister continues improving. More *healing vibes* for her, and *calm coping vibes* for you.Better is good enough.0
