Anyway on the subject of my Ocado shop for tomorrow, my £20 off £60 voucher ran out but they've sent me a new one for £30 off £75, which is actually better as it's 40% off rather than 33%

So I'm going to add a further £13 of non perishables to the list and aim to only buy fresh stuff for the month of November. I'm thinking frozen peas and sweetcorn, pasta, olive oil maybe... as long as I don't waste it on stuff I won't use I should be fine and it's justified!

I don't want to buy veg from Ocado as very expensive so seems a waste when I could get it much cheaper.

Ha! Just updated my Ocado order ready for tomorrow... get this:

    2x 500g bags pasta
1.8 kilo bag of petit pois
2x 500g bags of frozen edamame
    1x Toothpaste
A roll of 20 caddy liners

For an extra £4.50 on what I was going to spend anyway. My toothpaste alone is £3.25 and I have to make a special trip for it so I'm really pleased I thought to look on here!!
Plus a free gift which I chose a 1 litre carton of Innocent Coconut Water.

    Not bad hey!!

Anyway, this is my last post in October, as my November starts tomorrow, so I'll be spamming you all there!

Declaring at £79.07/£80 for my partial October budget. Green! Hurrah!

    LC xx

OH requested Cheese and cucumber. We needed milk, then I decided to use a £1 off voucher for Muller Yoghurts in Sainsbobs, so spent £4.50 today.

We are now over by £18.23.

I have decided, on the basis that we can't even fit anymore food in, that next month's shopping budget will be reduced by 1/3.

Just one day left of my budget. I hope we don't need anything extra.

£1.33 on lettuce, carrots and a cucumber. My month ends on Friday and I am going to need milk but there shouldn't be anything else so I'm hoping to be under:j

After starting off well my standards slipped over the month and I have calculated that I have gone over by £39.45. :o

    Total spend £189.45/150

I think the error of my ways is buying some ready made lunches rather than taking home made to work, and BF being skint has impacted upon my budget at weekends.

Determined to reduce the spend next month, so i'm going to set budget at £175 for the month starting 26th Oct-25th Nov.

I have just done a stock take of the freezer and fridge contents ready for my frugal fast next month and to see what I can batch cook while I am off and I have a lot more than I thought including a fridge stuffed with veg I must do something with.:o

I thought I would need to buy chicken breasts in November and I have 15 :eek::eek:

I'm not much good at batch cooking as I never fancy the food much once it's been frozen. All I can think of to make is veggie chilli, quorn bolognaise and chicken curry. DH also loves my leek and sausage casserole so will make some of that for when I am away with work over the next 2 weeks. I will also make another batch of tomato sauce for pasta.

Today I will need to buy bananas and oranges. I am not happy with the fruit and potatoes I bought from Aldi; a whole net of satsumas has gone green and furry and 1 of the pack of 4 baking potatoes I bought was rotten.

£1.35 on syrup to make some rocky road for lunch boxes next week.
I need to get my Christmas cake and mincemeat ingredients this week so I can get them made while I'm off work but I'm undecided as to wether they should come out of my GC budget or Christmas. I'm thinking Christmas as I make a few and three of them are gifts.
