No most of the members aren't. The MPs don't seem to have got the message.0 -
Rugged.... Im not a tory and resent being called one. I'm also not a right wing hater like the Westernpromises of this world. Some of us are moderates and realise the middle way is best. Corbyn is an unelectable idiot and the tories are in power and look like staying there for some time to come; but inevitably they will screw up and/or the public will grow tired of their cynicism sooner or later and then we'll have a change. You and Western are at the opposite ends of this spectrum, but you both have something in common, you both know how to hate really well and see your political opposite as anathema. Ever thought of forming a new party together, could call it the New Model Army.:)
Your Middle Way is the politics of despair.
Maybe you should ask yourself why you're having such trouble selling it.0 -

Meanwhile, more on how Khorbiyn's supporters engage in democratic debate:
Jeremy Corbyn supporters expelled from Labour for threats to 'cut Tony Blair's eyes out and set him on fire'

The Tories will be coming after Labour on every one of these stories in the 2020 GE campaign.0 -
Labour has been ruined.
We'll be a one party state until someone kicks all these lefties into touch.
If you cannot see this RT, then you must be blinded by arrogance. I'm a soft Conservative voter but I despair over what you and yours are doing to Labour who used to at least be a credible alternative to soft Conservative voters like myself.
If I was unhappy with something the Conservatives did during their term I might have voted for Labour if they were closer to the centre, but under Jeremy I'll never vote for Labour. I would rather vote for Tim Farron.0 -

The Labour Party membership do not want their party to promote policies that appeal to "soft Conservative voters."
You'll either have to stop voting Conservative or actually get involved in the political process and try and shape what you want your Party to be, around the centrist policies you apparently want.
Rather than floating along like a directionless jellyfish hoping things turn out alright for you on election day because you really want to vote for massive spending cuts for the poor and tax breaks for yourself, but don't want to have to feel guilty about it.
Sorry.0 -

Its this complete and utter !!!! from the mainstream media that shows how little you understand whats going on.
The vast majority of new members to the Labour Party are ordinary people. Fathers, mothers, office workers, students. We are not ranting Trots seeking to overthrow civilisation. We are normal people who are tired of being disenfranchised by a political elite that gets one third of the vote, 100% of the say, and is only concerned with their own self interest.
The more "you" fail to understand this, the less you will be able to shape the political landscape of the future.0 -

with the vile enemy getting only one third the vote : it would seem a trivial exercise for a party that represented the masses to win power for ever.0 -

No you're not. You are barking, carpet-biting loonies.
Your shadow chancellor wanted honours for IRA terrorists, for example.0 -

How are you going to win an election then?ruggedtoast wrote: »You'll either have to stop voting Conservative or actually get involved in the political process and try and shape what you want your Party to be, around the centrist policies you apparently want.
I was happy before Labour decided to destroy itself. I felt the situation was sensible, left of centre and right of centre politics. I don't think Corbyn's Labour would ever look like winning, but if it showed positive signs I'd be tempted to get out and campaign and volunteer to keep the nutters out.ruggedtoast wrote: »Rather than floating along like a directionless jellyfish hoping things turn out alright for you on election day because you really want to vote for massive spending cuts for the poor and tax breaks for yourself, but don't want to have to feel guilty about it.
Sorry.
All this leftist diatribe is just hardening any soft Conservatives like myself.
So what's the Corbynista plan for when all the money runs out after you re-nationalise everything? Service more debt? Cut services or tax people at eye-watering levels? Leave it to the Conservatives to sort out when you're kicked out?
I feel no guilt over wanting people to take responsibility for their decisions in life, more money can go to the truly needy like the old and disabled then whilst still reducing the welfare budget.0
