    there can be employees without a union
    there is a higher incidents of strike in places with unions that those with employees

    True but the purpose of unions is to look after the interests of there members and if they don't they will lose them.

    which is why the law should be changed to redress the balance of power a little

    The laws have changed significantly since the 70s and unions are not as powerful.

    So you think it's ok for a party that receives just over 20% of votes to run the country but that is not good enough for a union to call industrial action.

    Don't have a bike, out of interest the turnout in the southern railways strike vote was 81%.

    Perhaps we should have used 80% turnout for EU referendum after all it's more important than the odd strike.
