Meanwhile they have been selling books of poetry about Yeremiy Khorbiyn at the Labour Party conference. Here is an example of one:
Someone Happened
by
Abigail E O Wyatt
Someone crept in
and lit a candle in our hearts
that someone happened
to be him.
Toastie. 'fess up: you are "Abigail E O Wyatt", aren't you? You are aren't you? Am I right?0 -

The Labour Party doesn't need to appeal to cretins to succeed. Quite the opposite.
Hope your not representative of the new labour party. As the use of offensive terms to describe ordinary people. Isn't going to endear people to the party. Though judging by a number of comments made by prominent Labour officials this week including the working class are ignorant and that leavers are stupid and racist. You probably are.
God help us all.0 -

UKIP supporters are not "normal people" Thank god.
I know thats what you all tell yourselves.
The Right of the Tory Party is quite welcome to you. The assertion that Labour should / does care where you go is symptomatic of the disconnect between what actual ordinary people want from Labour, and what the Daily Mail thinks they should get.0 -
but put it this way....the only place I meet such right wing, xenophobic, morally superior types, who are happy to judge the 'benefit scroungers' and who want us to know that they have worked so hard all their lives to set up their business blah blah is either on here or if I'm sitting in the back of a cab. Anonymity on a forum does bring out the worst of our natures perhaps
Nice. A post worthy of toxic toastie.
I've no idea why you think you are so superior but there you go.....
I seen Philip Cowley interviewed the other day about his new book "More, Sex Lies and the Ballot Box" he found evidence that people in the centre and on the right were more tolerant and more happy than those on the left....
....just saying....0 -

Similarly Bobbymotors rather puerile rant about Rugged being unable to demonstrate a country where a hard left govmt works is pointless. You will never have a purely socialist state....that is an unobtainable ideal.....
How is it pointless? its SPOT ON THE BULLSEYE! It's what JC wants, its what Rugged toast want, a purely socialist state...then you agree and say it's an unobtainable ideal?!?!
The point I make about it is that it simply does not work, otherwise there would be countries making it work. Sure, it's been tried (Venezuela..all that oil, yet all that poverty...) and it's ultimately failed.
The point about asking for an example is to use reasoned argument rather than jealousy, rhetoric, headlines, hatred and envy to make your point.
But that's the left for you, they are right, everyone else is wrong, makes no difference what the FACTS are. And the fact is that socialism sounds great in theory but doesn't work in practice.
Part of the problem is that we can only compare the concept of socialism with the reality of capitalism.
Capitalism, by and large, works. Socialism has never worked, nor will it ever work. People aren't made that way, they want better lives for themselves.
And so they should.0 -

Momentum are also holding events aimed at children, one in which they will be asked “what does your teddy stand for”.
The ‘Teddy Bear Mandate’ session in Liverpool on Sunday will require youngsters to imagine which party the toy might join and led, what its mandate would be, and what its values are.
The event will also encourage youngsters to “make signs and banners and stage a mock protest”, according to an advert in the Red Pepper magazine.

In Abigail's case, if he can't have a better life, he'll settle for everybody else's being made worse.0 -

So the solution to being poor and disenfranchised is to vote for a government that disenfranchises people and throws them into poverty.
There is a reason why rich selfish people vote for the conservatives and it is not about their innately sunny dispositions.0
