So the solution to being poor and disenfranchised is to vote for a government that disenfranchises people and throws them into poverty.

There is a reason why rich selfish people vote for the conservatives and it is not about their innately sunny dispositions.

no one is poor in the UK : half the world would flock here to live like our 'poor' many risking their lives. Of course many of our 'poor' can't get on a bus to find a job as its too arduous.

If they are disenfranchised they should get out of their bed, sober up and find their way to the polling station.

We have virtually full employment at the moment: there is no reason for anyone except the very disabled, from working.

    And there we go.

The entitled, arrogant prejudice of the Tory voting boomer in quintessence.
  • Similarly Bobbymotors rather puerile rant about Rugged being unable to demonstrate a country where a hard left govmt works is pointless. You will never have a purely socialist state....that is an unobtainable ideal.....

How is it pointless? its SPOT ON THE BULLSEYE! It's what JC wants, its what Rugged toast want, a purely socialist state...then you agree and say it's an unobtainable ideal?!?!

The point I make about it is that it simply does not work, otherwise there would be countries making it work. Sure, it's been tried (Venezuela..all that oil, yet all that poverty...) and it's ultimately failed.

The point about asking for an example is to use reasoned argument rather than jealousy, rhetoric, headlines, hatred and envy to make your point.

But that's the left for you, they are right, everyone else is wrong, makes no difference what the FACTS are. And the fact is that socialism sounds great in theory but doesn't work in practice.

Part of the problem is that we can only compare the concept of socialism with the reality of capitalism.

Capitalism, by and large, works. Socialism has never worked, nor will it ever work. People aren't made that way, they want better lives for themselves.

    And so they should.

Are you enormously unobservant, or just very hard of thinking? This has been covered, over and over.

The political and economic structure of a Corbyn UK would be similar in nature to most European countries. There is nothing particularly hardline left about France, who also outperforms us economically and are more productive per hour worked than their British counterparts (i,e. you).

as usual toxic toastie spreading a message of anger and hatred to his parents and all their generation: one wonders what did they do: you really ought to consider counselling services (probably free to some-one like you.)

of course no actual facts or discussion just the usual personal abuse.
