    That puts it rather well.

Guy on Daily Politics just now trotting out the "Jeremy Corbyn has an enormous mandate" line ad nauseum.

I have a theory that if you took away that sentence literally none of his supporters would ever say a word ever. Really about time they had something else to say about him. Like some real policies.

Corbyn and Momentum are the gift to the Conservatives that will never cease to give........
  • And still, the hypocrisy of the boomers and their sour faced champions rings out like a cracked bell.

    Ding! We hate socialism.

Dong! The young must stand on their own two feet

Dang! Give us unlimited socialised healthcare

Deng! The government must manipulate the housing market so our homes make us rich.

Dung! We demand winter fuel allowances, free tv licenses, free bus passes, unfunded pensions no matter how rich we are.

Ding! Sell off the state utilities and give us all cheques

Total hypocrites. What you all hate is that Corbyn is threatening to redistribute some of the stage handouts that you've been enjoying for decades over to people that need them.

You are all dead set against socialism, other than the socialism you've been exploiting for yourselves.

Well I hope it was good while it lasted because it's running out.
  • You still haven't told us of one single country where socialism of the kind you describe has worked historically or is working today.

    Can you do so?

If so, some of us might listen to you.

Because the thing is it's not that we hate is as such.

It's that it just doesn't work.

    Not now. Not ever.

So unless you can give us a few examples of where this shining path will lead us I'm afraid to say that no one will take you seriously.

And I'm still offering 9/2 for charity if you want. As much as you want to put on...I've got a few quid because I worked hard
  • Well I hope it was good while it lasted because it's running out.

Oh no it's not you know. Maybe in your dreams. Or nightmares, dependent on your point of view
  • The young must stand on their own two feet

You mean like we all did thirty-odd years ago?
    Give us unlimited socialised healthcare

I think you'll find many of us have private healthcare.
We demand winter fuel allowances, free tv licenses, free bus passes ... no matter how rich we are.
    .

I think you'll find many of us think it's ridiculous that wealthy pensioners get all those things.

In much the same way that I think it's ridiculous that thanks to the Welsh Assembly I get free prescriptions.

  • It's no good arguing your case Mobilesaver, as correct as it is.

The left do not listen to or comprehend any other point of view than their own, its a waste of effort.

    What we need are facts:

Where has hard left socialism ever worked or is working now?
where's the money going to come from?
Which 60 seats is Jezza going to capture from the vile Tories?

If those questions can be reasonably and logically answered then we can have a proper debate.

But until they are it's just rather a rugged rant i'm afraid.

    Give me your bus pass.

I'm not old enough to get one yet, but once i do, you can have it with pleasure.

But instead of posting sniping insults, how about some answers to the questions posed?

That would help your case far more than asking for my non existent bus pass.

And instead of sniping and ranting, why not try to explain why you think it's nearly over, as opinion on the matter does rather seem to be against you. Some reasoned and valid arguments and reasons will gain you far more respect.

For the record, my reasons for thinking its not all over:

Hard left socialism doesn't work and has never worked anywhere its been tried.
It's simple economics that if you spend more than you earn you will at some point go bankrupt.
Borrowing or printing money to spend on depreciating assets is a recipe for disaster.
People that risk their money and employ people make far more for the country than anything else. YES..Philip Green and the Lion of the left, Robert Maxwell are exceptions.

And your reasons for thinking its all ending are.....?
